About this mod
A skill maker mod that adds new attacks and combos to many enemies and bosses in the game.

This mod can be used from the start of the game to the end with relatively little issue, though some vanilla vocations have far more difficulty handling some encounters. This skillset was designed with pawns in mind, though they have trouble with some attacks.
You can also use this mod to enhance a ng+ run, to make the endgame experience more distinct, or to give yourself enemies capable of standing up against powerful skill maker vocations and abilities.
The video below is a demonstration of extreme and experimental abilities. Most enemies do not behave like this, and everything you see below is disabled with the recommended skillsets.
INSTALLATION
INSTALL SKILL MAKER AND ALL REQUIREMENTS
Unzip Beastiarium, and move reframework into the folder of the games install. Use the reframework
menu in game and go to skill maker, enemy skill,
It seems that loading the skillset doesn't properly work due to a skill maker issue. You may have to try manually loading in each enemy skill, or each enemy skill set. Individual enemy skill sets are labeled with "Advanced." Advanced Goblins, Advanced Saurians, ect.
Many enemies have two skillsets, one marked with (EX). Load this skillset to enable experimental or extreme abilities. These abilities often involve magical effects the monster previously didn't have, or otherwise over the top moves.
THE NON EX VERSION OF THE SKILLSETS ARE HIGHLY RECOMMENDED FOR A MORE BALANCED EXPERIENCE!
If there is a move you believe should be marked as (EX), please let me know!
Gorechimeras, Skeletons, Lost Mercenaries, and Skeleton Lords are all considered experimental, enable these skillsets at your own risk. I believe skeletons feel the least egregious out of these.
LIST OF ENEMIES NOT ALTERED
Rogue
Scavenger
The Dragon
Purgeners
Sphinx
Dullahan
Red Wolves
Medusa
Thief Bandits
Archer Bandits
Skeleton Mages
These will have abilities added later.
This mod is easy to enable and disable, and individual enemy abilities can be turned on and off. This is good, because this mod is far from perfect, and takes many liberties with the games balance and design. I don't imagine everyone will like it, but please provide feedback. I'm not super happy with how many abilities turned out, but I'd like some criticism so I can go into the right direction.
I apologize if anything is missing or does not work.
There is a custom pawn vocation disabled by default. It is called "Determined Hero" and is an amalgamation of abilities from my other mods made for use on a fighter pawn. I made it for my pawn and didn't intend to release it, but I thought may as well. I don't remember what skills the fighter has to have for it to fully work. You can manually load the skills for pawns or load the individual pawn skillset. If you have clear skills on load enabled, it may disable every other enemy skillset if you do this.
RECOMMENDED MODS
Durnehviir for more variety in enemy spawns. Honestly all of Nickesponja's mods are recommended, that guy is carrying dd2's balance on his back
Enemy Spawner for easy testing and more optional challenge.
Enemy Resistance Overhaul
Custom Difficulty Tweaks or Simple Difficulty Tweaks for further adjustments to balance.
Lenient stagger and exhaustion is required to have fun unless you play perfectly. Seriously, you do not want vanilla stagger values or mechanics with some of these enemy combos. Use whatever settings are comfortable for you.
Thanks to Mur4s4me, both for Enemy Resistance Overhaul as well as feedback. Also thanks to a user on the modding haven discord that helped me figure out the method for reducing damage of enemy animations! It's nice to see so much enthusiasm for this mod, and I would suggest anyone interested in making stuff like this yourself to try it out. I don't know coding and mostly just brute forced things into working, so if you put your heart into it you can make something WAY better than this
And thanks to everyone who tried the mod, and gave feedback and criticism. Beastiarium is far, far, far from perfect, but I hope to make it better!
