when i go into the key bindings menu, it won't let me put in any controller buttons. when i go to button mapping, there's no clear indication which button to use. how do you set it up to work on controller?
If you use steam input by chance instead of native you could try mapping a gamepad button or a combination to that keybind, as an added feature, not replacing what it originally does or yeah combination is better, also you can make it so it triggers only on hold or letting go even. Otherwise you would have to figure out the input code for the controller like with keyboard and insert it somewhere in the mod where it tells you to use that keybind.
Though if there is an option to bind to controller, guess the issue is that it doesn't prolly understand your controller input and that you're using maybe dinput instead of xinput, so try steam overlay for the game with steam input enabled.
Is it a pawn command, or a dialog option? do they need to have the skill equipped for it to work? Does this mod stop them from spamming the move in combat, and if not, is it compatible with the mod that does?
I downloaded it to find out. You walk up to a pawn and hit your keybind for it. Default is Z. You don't have to talk to them, just walk up to them, hit Z and they will crouch and you move towards them and jump.
"...they will crouch and you move towards them and jump..." Author of the mods said it works regardless of class, gear etc.So how does the animation looks like? Are they preparing to throw you up like pawns usually do when they use Catapult Launch(?) or Launchboard skill or they grab you like when they want to throw objects, like rock or barrel?Judging from comments, it's actually works which is unbelievable and amazing. You have no idea how much sometimes I tried so hard to make my pawn launch me higher so I can reach desirable spot or chest.
I kind of understand why they wouldn't add such feature/command, cause it would trivialize certain intentionally unreachable locations.
Best mod EVER. Words cannot describe my frustration in the fact that this has never been a feature in the games. I've been wishing for this kind of thing for ages. I'm even happier its not required to use as a skill, so I dont have to worry about my pawn sitting there like they were lobotomized mid fight, lmao. Thank you :)
Okay, I tested this mod and I have to say it's one of the best mods for Dragons Dogma 2 Nexus has right now. I believe this is how that stuff should've been implemented anyways to begin with. Asking Pawns to help with exploration is superb, and it also frees up a Skill slot.
If I may be so bold to make a request: Would you mind making a version of this that only works for Pawns that are Warriors or Fighters (Catapult Launch) & (Launchboard) for a more immersive experience ? Right now any and all pawns will do it on command.
Regardless of my request, this mod is very very very good. Thank you so much for making it!
