I want to thank everyone who's been here since the beginning (and currently) playing the mod. It's been a long journey of 3 long years for this mod, but i finally have to call it quits after long term support for Night Runner mod.
Version 7.0 is around the corner and i want to release it as soon as possible when i can. After this update i can potentially release a "bugfix" version (7.1) if there are still any gamebreaking issues preventing you from playing the mod properly, but if there are no issues, 7.0 will indeed be the final update for this mod.
While the last update will introduce many features (all found in the spreadsheet), the mod also aims to be translated to different languages in the final version through help of players playing Night Runner.
The only good part of this mod is the inventory the crafting the skill tree and the outfit acquisition rest if the mod is unbalanced wanabe "hard" dificulty early game is atrocious mid game is mid and later in the game you are unkillable but still a ranom biter can half hp you many features from base game were removed and not replaced didnt get to following but i dont suppose its better there
Fear, how can i add the tap to loot feature to my own data3 file? I dont wanna download the whole mode, just that part please? I dont mind testing if it work or not
Can you replace some files to make other mods work with this in the data3 file? Like a grapple modification mod, a prison timer extension and some other mods?
Okay, so that it's not unreasonable, here's a list of the problems that are in this modification.
1. This problem exists in 99% of games, and it exists in the original game: ENDURANCE. In an amicable way, the person who was sent to this wilderness is a specialist. Judging by the fact that the landing took place by landing from an airplane, this is a TRAINED specialist. You know that waving a stick 5 times and getting out of breath is a sign of a nerd who only held a mug of tea out of the heaviest. This is NOT normal.
2. The durability of the weapon. I can understand if a wooden stick falls apart, it's natural because it's not as strong as metal. But metal pipes, axes, and weapons? Why is it breaking so fast? If you are trying to make "realism", then why not make a realistic durability of the objects that are designed to punch in the face in this game? Once in a bar, I hit a dude with a half-liter beer mug, and you know what? My pen didn't even break off. OK, let's move on to more realistic examples. Axe. I was chopping wood. The axe does not break after 20 strokes. Yes, it can get blunt, but it won't bend into s#*! because you hit it 20 times. And if at least one animal falls out shouting "kokoko, but this is a rusty axe," moron, take an axe, throw it on the street for a year for a year and then try to bend it. Yes, it will become dull, yes, it will rust all over, but it will not lose its strength.
3. Next. "Unkillable" zombies. I can understand (even though I don't like it) that even during the day there are zombies that can't be killed. But when such a zombie enters an electric trap, flexes in it for half an hour, and then, twitching merrily, shoots you with a single punch in the face - come on, how did you miss it, testers?
4. And the last thing that also annoys you to the point of gnashing your teeth (again, testers, hello), zombies that cause damage to you before they hit you. He just walks up to you and you can hear the sound of hitting -5hp. Did he cause damage with the holy spirit or the foul stench from his mouth?
To sum up, from what I've played, it's a tremendous job of turning a game that is weak from the point of view of logic into stuffy and overcomplicated bullshit. Yes, of course, on the one hand, you have shown well how difficult it is to survive in such a situation, BUT. You haven't fixed the main jambs of the game. When downloading your mod, I was counting on a difficult but fair game in which all (or at least the most annoying problems) of the game are fixed. But no. In fact, it's now a VERY DIFFICULT game with the same annoying mechanics.
So your colossal work is not just s#*!, it's like tearing your ass off while you s#*! - the result is the same, only more painful.
Thanks for the review bro, I was about to try this but damage sponges enemies is the one single thing I hate the most in video games in general. Not even gonna download the game again after 100% just for this, sounds miserable.
This is how the game should have been from the beginning. Now I can really see how I would handle a zombie problem. I'm no longer this superhuman which always bothered me in the game. The zombies are now a real threat. Many thanks for the mod, I really appreciate the hard work you put into it, and I endorsed your upload.
@||Fear|| I think about 3 years, when i tested an early version of Night Runner mod, a posted a bug, that's well not actually a bug but more like a missing or cut out dialogue from a very very early version of the vanilla game(i think it was 0.1.0). What happened to that, is it that dialogue like permanently lost so it cant be brought back into this mod or? Just curious.

Things should only get better from here while i continiously monitor possible issues or bugs and new features to be added.
Don't hesitate to ask something and endorse my mod if you liked it :)
I have also just opened a discord server for people that are interested: Discord
