Hello, for people looking for incantations applying in both weapons here is my guide.
What you need? - Yapped - Any .CSV editor like excel.
My example will use Bloodflame Blade but it's applicable for all weapon enchanting spells, even sorceries.
1) - Make a backup of your regulation.bin (If you are new it can be found at Elden Ring\Game folder) - Open your regulation.bin with Yapped - Export SpEffectParam and SpEffectVfxParam (Press F12 after select in left tab) - Go to your Yapped folder Yapped\Projects\ExampleMod\CSV\ER and open both CSV files
2) - In SpEffectVfxParam copy line 1632000 (Bloodflame) and paste at bottom of the sheet after 999999999 (can be placed anywhere, just to be easy to find your mod) - Give new number (MUST be different) in my case i used 7632000 - Edit column effectType to 2 (1 is right hand, 2 left hand, 3 i don't know)
- Edit columns enchantStartDmyId_0 all the way to enchantStartDmyId_7 (yes you must edit all 8 columns), this parameter works with a prefix, so if start with 1 this means right hand like effectType, in our case we will change to prefix 2 left hand, so 20300 for enchantStartDmyId_0, 21300 for enchantStartDmyId_1, 20310 for enchantStartDmyId_2 and so on . Change for all enchantStartDmyId, 0 to 7. - Save
3) - In SpEffectParam copy line 1632000 (Bloodflame) and paste at bottom (In this case is the same number of SpEffectVfxParam) - Give new number (MUST be different) in my case i used 7632000 again - Edit column effectEndurance to 1 - Edit column spCategory to 163 (162 right hand, 163 left hand) - Edit column wepParamChange to 2 (1 right hand, 2 left hand) - Edit vfxId column to 7632000 (the number we create at SpEffectVfxParam) - Go up at line 1632000 and change column cycleOccurrenceSpEffectId to 7632000 (our new line) - Save and close both sheets.
4) - Back to Yapped, select SpEffectVfxParam at left tab, press F11 to import our edited CSV, do the same for SpEffectParam. - CTRL + S to save - Have fun.
How do you know with SpEffectVfxParam line to edit? Pick your target at SpEffectParam and go to vfxId column.
I followed these instructions to a T but it doesn't work for me. I've done both Bloodflame blade and Black flame blade/. I even used text to columns to ensure I was editing the right one. Can you confirm there isn't something you've left out or maybe some column you got mixed up? Thanks!
Ok i found what I miss, edit in SpEffectParam column spCategory to 163 (162 right hand, 163 left hand) and column wepParamChange to 2 Should work like this print screen:Image.
You can apply same process for Greases used in left hand (when you two hand your left sword and use grease, will apply to your right hand when you back to dual wield). But with a minor bug, the visual effects only show if you change weapon, if you press two handed/one handed will not show the visual, but the buffs will apply.
I think you can use this method for Ash of Wars, like Seppuku, Sacred Blade and others, will apply in both hands too. If you look greases for example you will see they have different vfxId for right and left hand.
Just a boring work doing for right and left hand.
Next step for me is looking how can I apply weapon incantations holding the seal in right hand. If you found the way could you share?
There is a bug with this mod, so im using dual dagger build, and when i install this mod, yes it greases both weapons but also it permanently changes my special attack for all my weapons to the heavy slam, you know where you jump in the air and come down with a 2 handed weapon, for some reason it thinks i have 2 handed weapons ONLY, no matter what weapon i select.
without this mod, i have the regular special attack where it shoots the blood reduvia dagger thing out. So idk why it does that.
The tutorial is simple and efficient! I even managed to transform drawnstring lightning grease into a minor version of vykes Dragonbolt + flame grant me strengh modified to lightning damage, and in both hands! Thanks a lot
