So 1.06 has dropped, but I am currently in no position to update this. If you need it, feel free to adopt this mod.

Is there any special requirement for adding ashes of war to a sacred seal. I can add ashes to staves, but no options are coming up for even basic ashes for seals. Will I need a specific whetblade to unlock ashes for seals?

Nevermind, fixed the problem in Yapped on my own.

For anyone who has the same issue, and is impatient for an update: I opened "regulation.bin" in Yapped, scrolled down to "EquipParamWeapon" (Left column), selected each listed sacred seal (middle column), and changed "Ash of War Type" (Right column) from "0 - Prevent Change" to "2 - Allow Change". Save and exit. This allowed me to see ash of war options for my seals in-game.
    2. Good catch. I've updated both the .bin and .csv zips with this change.

I know this was two years ago, but you actually just majorly helped me out with this, so thank you from the grave!

One note: The shield Ashes do work with staves -- I've used the magic deflection Ash with a staff, which actually makes logical sense.  The mod I was using was this one: https://www.nexusmods.com/eldenring/mods/336?tab=files

The only Ashes that don't seem to work properly are the arrow / bow ones, when equipped to non-bow weapons; as well as enchantments on staves.  At least, they didn't work for me in my limited testing of them -- the character does not perform the imbuing animation, and is kind of stuck in a pose for a few seconds instead.
    1. Neat. I don't think I should add them in this mod as I cannot properly test them due to a lack of parry skill.
But if you can make it work, please do share.

You reckon this would work for the unlocked unique skills mod? If so it would be perfect
Edit: Yeah nvm I'm not doing all the external program Yapped s#*!
    1. Probably not easily. I had to edit each ash of war, not the staffs or seals. In the Unlocked Unique Skills
by clevererraptor6, he had to make a whole new EquipParamGem.csv to add each as Skill a new Ash of War. It would easy enough to fuse my changes with his file, but that would not allow you to put the new Ashes on staffs.
