Hi, i m new to the world of MODS, and i really want to install this moveset mod for elden ring, can Someone explain to me precisly how to install properly this mod.
This mod seems to clash with the new DLC weapons added to the game making them unable to be used. Is there going to be future plans for this mod or is it discontinued.
I managed to make it partially work with the new version of the game and the DLC. As reported by another user, the simplified version of the MOD changes the character's movements with the Katanas from the base game. This prevents the use of some of the DLC's new weapons and also blocks many enchantments. It's a choice to make. Update ModEngne to the latest version: 2.1. This way, the Mod will work again.
I tried the standalone version and managed to get the dodge to work and the weapons. Issue is the movesets for the weapons revert to the defualt moveset for the weapon archetype and the new spells and ash of wars revert to the spells they were built from. Also movement speed is very slow.
Now that WitchyBND is finally stable and Meowmaritus has updated DSAnimStudio to support the DLC on his Patreon, updates for all my mods are imminent. Expect releases this weekend
Nice, can't wait honestly going to replay the whole DLC with it. Just the dodges and movement animations alone put this mod above the rest. The little speed boost you get when two handing the weapon was a really nice add aswell.
Can you add a version without the stand animation or dodges that just changes the weapon animations? I like to use this mod with my friends, but I don't want to force them all to stand or dodge like Malenia for me to use the mod. lol
That being said, it appears to be broken pretty badly on current patch and with DLC content. I downloaded the "standalone" version and merged/updated the regulation.bin, but the attack animations were very broken and unusable. Removing the regulation.bin restored the attack animations for Hand of Melania to normal, but left the idle animation, quickstep-like dodge animations, and running animations the same! I love these and this is an acceptable compromise.
However, even in this state, the DLC incantations are broken. Base game incantations work perfectly with no issues, but using a DLC incantation will result in the Howl of Shabriri animation and the actual incantation may or may not go off depending on the actual incantation (KLS essentially is broken). Any known way to fix this? I'd LOVE to just leave the idle, dodge, and running animations but restore everything else to base game even if the modified attack animations don't work!

You need to delete all the files from the mod, not just the regulation. The reason everything is broken is because the animations used pre-DLC are, mostly, incompatible with those from before -- any moveset mod you try to use that was made pre-DLC and unupdated, like this one, is going to be broken and unusable.
