Nothing to worry about. You probably launched your game after an update without using the vanilla regulation.bin file first. How to fix:
Launch your game with the vanilla regulation.bin.
Load your save.
Exit game.
Make sure the mod's regulation.bin is the same version of your game. E.g. you can't use a 1.10 regulation with a 1.12 game.
Launch game with modded regulation.bin.
If that doesn't work then you probably need to use Elden Ring Character Manager to copy your character into a vanilla save file from the updated game. Just move your saves elsewhere, start a new game with a vanilla updated regulation.bin, close your game and then copy your characters from the old saves to the new one.
Hello. I'm using the Randomizer mod (only that for now, nothing else). But I would also like to use your mod with it.
I wanted to know if using this mod's Regulation.bin file should work fine? I.E. if I just put it in the Elden Ring root installation? Or do I need to merge the game's default Regulation.bin + this mod's .bin?
If you have duplicate files you HAVE to merge them or live without it. But do not use the merge regulation.bin feature, instead if you don't have the csv merge files, make a project with either regulation.bin file, then export all modified params, one for each param, then swap the regulation.bin file in the project folder and then import all the imported files one by one.
However, regardless of what I do, nothing seems to work. I even just manually re-did the spawning range changes in the correct Param section of the default game regulation.bin (using Smithbox), and saved the changes (same changes as found in this mod's bin file) and it didn't work at all, which baffles me.
Now obviously I'm doing something wrong, but I can't figure it out. All I want is to use this mod along with the Randomizer and nothing else (and the Randomizer works well, no issues there).
Hi i was just merging mods and everything else worked out but i couldnt merge this mod. Im using smithbox and i imported then modified stuff from the regulation bin into the other but when i go into elden ring, the same place dragonbarrow west still could not summon any ashes? can you help me
Hey, I'm not being able to re-summon the spirit ashes. I did the installation as you said (backup the original regulation.bin and put the edited inside ELDEN RING\Game). I tested to see if they could only be re-summoned if they were killed by an enemy first, but that's not the case. If they were killed by an enemy, the game just would assume the spirit ash was still alive and would always ask me if I wanted to de-spawn them until I did. After it de-spawned it still wouldn't let me call it again.
However, I noticed that I can still summon the spirit ashes (from my testing) wherever I want.
Well you need to make sure the regulation you're trynna import the csv into is the correct version 1.16. Then you need to make sure your using the same delimiter I did when exporting this, which is the comma delimiter (","). And then you need to make sure you're importing this into the correct param BuddyStoneParam.
