About this mod
You forgot at which step of a secondary quest you are? No more! This mod will allow you to keep track of everything that happens in your Elden Ring secondary quests!

This is a simple mod that adds a Quest Log for almost all secondary quests and NPCs to your grace menu.
In order to keep the game experience as similar to what FromSoft intended as possible, it does NOT guide you towards the next step of each quest, but it is meant to be used to keep track, in a quick and accessible way, of what happened so far in all secondary quests.
After installation, it works retroactively - showing all your quest progress done even before installing the mod.
This mod does not affect gameplay in any way whatsoever, but I do not recommend to keep it active if you go online afterwards, like for almost all other mods.
PLEASE NOTE: this mod is still a BETA - I've tested it extensively, but expect bugs in what quests are showing and what are not visible instead. If you do find some unexpected quests popping up in the log or some steps disappearing, please let me know.
THE MOD HAS BEEN UPDATED AS A .DLL- this should make it now compatible with most other mods, including Seamless, Convergence and ER Reforged
(Translations are still ongoing, for now not all text for DLC quests are translated. This has been tested, but bugs on which steps are activated are still possible - open a bug report or let me know if there's something wrong)
COMPATIBILITY WITH OTHER MODS
It should just work with most other mods - please refer below for the installation instructions or look in the README.md file inside the mod.
LANGUAGES
See below the list of supported languages. If somebody wants to contribute with other languages, feel free to contact me.
If you want to use the mod in a different language than the rest of the game, then you can uncomment the corresponding language in the erquestlog.ini file (removing the ";" in front of your desired language). This will not have an impact on the rest of the game.
NOTE FOR TURKISH AND VIETNAMESE LANGUAGES: they are supported in the mod despite not being officially supported by the main game, but in order to access the translations you have to use the method above (uncommenting "lang = turkish" and "lang = vietnamese" in the erquestlog.ini respectively).
If you are currently using unsupported languages in your game, then it will default to English.
Credits for translations go to:
- parklir for the Russian translation
- dimetequiero and EmMe94 for the Spanish (EU) translation
- EmMe94 for the Spanish (AR) translation
- Anonymous for the Italian translation
- brayanluc2 for the Brazilian Portuguese translation
- 3ND34V0R for the French translation
- furkandoganer for the Turkish translation

HOW TO INSTALL:
Installation (Option #1 - ModEngine2)
Download the latest version of ModEngine2 and extract it somewhere.
Download the mod and extract erquestlog.dll, erquestlog.ini and the questlog_lang folder into the ModEngine folder. You should have a fodler structure similar to this:
ModEngine-2.1.0 <--- exact name could change based on your Mod Engine version
mod
modengine2
questlog_lang <--- added by you
-> config_eldenring.toml
-> erquestlog.dll <--- added by you
-> erquestlog.ini <--- added by you
-> launchmod_eldenring.bat
-> modengine2_launcher.exe
Open config_eldenring.toml in Notepad and look for the line starting with "external_dlls = ...". Add the mod to the DLL list:
external_dlls = [
"erquestlog.dll",
]
If you're using multiple DLLs, make sure they're separated by commas. For example:
external_dlls = [
"ertransmogrify.dll",
"erquestlog.dll",
]
Double-click launchmod_eldenring.bat to start the game.

Installation (Option #2 - Elden Mod Loader)
If you can't get ModEngine2 to work or you don't want to use it, you can also run the mod with Elden Mod Loader.
Install Elden Mod Loader according to the instructions in its Nexus page.
Extract erquestlog.dll, erquestlog.ini and questlog_lang folder into the ELDEN RING > mods folder.
Launch the game with the Elden Mod Loader offline launcher.

Installation (The Convergence)
To use this with The Convergence mod:
Create a "questlog" folder into the ConvergenceER folder (the same folder that contains config_eldenring.toml), then extract erquestlog.dll, erquestlog.ini and questlog_lang folder inside this newly created folder.
Open config_eldenring.toml, and look for the section starting with "external_dlls = ...". Add the mod to the following location:
external_dlls = [
"SeamlessCoop/ersc.dll",
"Convergence/ertransmogrify.dll",
"Convergence/ErdTools.dll",
"Convergence/eldenring_alt_saves.dll",
"Convergence/Scripts-Data-Exposer-FS.dll",
"questlog/erquestlog.dll",
]
Double-click launchmod_eldenring.bat to start the game
Keep in mind that this mod is not an official addon for The Convergence - please don't report issues from this mod to the convergence developers and community.

Installation (ELDEN RING: Reforged)
To use this with ERR, follow this process for adding DLL mods instead.
Extract erquestlog.dll, erquestlog.ini and questlog_lang folder into the dll > active folder
Double-click Launch ELDEN RING Reforged to start the game.
Keep in mind that this mod is not an official addon for ERR Reforged - please don't report issues from this mod to the ERR developers and community.
LEGACY VERSION - INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
It is recommended to use Mod Engine 2 to install this mod. Using an alternate save file is recommended if you want to go online again after using the mod.
Link
Installation without other mods (no patcher):
1. Download the latest version of Mod Engine 2 and extract the zip file to a folder.
2. Put the msg and script folders of the ERQuestLog folder inside the "mod" folder of Mod Engine 2, alongside the files of any other mods you might have.
3. Make sure Steam is open.
4. Run "launchmod_eldenring.bat" to start the mod.
Alternatively, download the patcher and follow the installation instructions there.
Installation with mods:
1. Download the latest version of Mod Engine 2 and extract the zip file to a folder.
2. Put this folder (the whole Quest Log Patcher folder) inside the "mod" folder of Mod Engine 2, alongside the files of any other mods you might have.
3. Download Yabber here: https://www.nexusmods.com/sekiro/mods/42 (I know it's in the Sekiro section of Nexus, but it's going to work anyway)
4. Place the contents of the downloaded Yabber folder (NOT the Yabber folder itself) into the Yabber folder of the patcher. If you did it right, you should see the Yabber.exe and Yabber.exe.config files inside (alongside others) and the "lib" folder with two files inside (oo2core_6_win64.dll and SoulsFormats.dll).
5. Run "Questlog_Patcher.bat" and wait for the process to finish (a "Patch completed!" message should appear in the black window - press any key when done). Make sure you don't have the game running when you do this step. This step will install the Quest Log regardless of other pre-installed mods, if possible - compatibility should not be an issue.
6. Make sure Steam is open.
7. Run "launchmod_eldenring.bat" to start the mod.
