The back up saves are located on the desktop named elden ring saves. This app makes finding the elden ring game folder faster so you can spend less time searching for the save folder. Think of it like a shortcut for an application. But this shortcut does the work for you
It is safe. I have a gaming computer and a laptop that I use for school (game dev student). short answer: yes its safe. long answer: I built the program on my laptop and when I went to use it on my Pc my firewall said no your not using this. It made me laugh cause I knew it was safe as I made it. I had to tell it otherwise. Same thing happened to my friends and their firewalls. so yes it's safe. And no it will not trigger the anti cheat because It doesn't modify any code. Its like getting butter at the store vs making it yourself.
Take care with how you use this. I just picked up a lord's rune and wanted to backup my save before I continued, so I saved and exited the game. I ran the backup, and then restored it just to make sure that it worked, and it restored an old file from about an hour ago. I'm sure that it was my own user error, to be clear. I just don't want anyone else to lose progress like that.
Does it matter when you run the program? If I had opened the program before I started playing, is that how it could have backed up an old save from an hour ago?
When I'm playing Elden ring and using the program I have Elden ring in window mode and my program on the side. When ever I want to back up something I go to title screen and wait for the Bandai logo to come up. Doing this will help with the message of quitting in the middle of the game. If I want to overwrite the my save file I do the same thing, wait for the Bandai logo and use the program.
Bans are done via Fromsoft's server moderation or automatic ban system. Chances are your account has been flagged and you can't play online anymore. That's why cheating is risky, and those that receive punishments for cheating are justified.
Thank you for this utility! Is it possible to request just the batch file we could run before launching the game that accomplishes this? I would feel a lot better about a batch file I can open and to see what it is programed to do before I run it... I'm sure others will verify that it works and all, but still.
Is it possible to make a mod that removes the animations that the enemies do when they die, leaving only the ragdoll's physics to act?I never liked that type of animations are repeated, especially in games that have a good ragdoll to enjoy, being able to be very satisfying to defeat an enemy as it happens for example in Skirim. (sorry for my English)
Can this be used to "duplicate" an existing save file and make it appear separately in the game? For example I have a lvl 50 character I played with and uncovered most of the map and am plying it as a Strength hero. But using the same template I want to duplicate it so that the second duplicated save can go a different route. Is that possible?
I would have to look into the save file its self and learn how its uniquely saved as i couldnt take my save from my pc onto my other account on my laptop to try and save time. From software has each file coded differently for each account it seems.
How exactly does this work? I apologize if its suppose to be obvious, but I was just scrounging around google seeing if there was a way to make a duplicate of my save file so I could just have multiple characters on different builds without all the effort of re-grinding everything. Is that what this tool can do? Or do I have the wrong idea? I apologize for the potentially dumb question lol.
I don't think it works like that. What you can do is level up your current save characters and if you don't like it, simply revert to your back up saves.
