Nevermind, figured it out myself. Had to use Yapper and turn EquipParamWeapon as a csv then merge it with the main regulation.bin. Adding anything else seems to conflict and remove the hitbox from the light attacks.
i use this mod https://www.nexusmods.com/eldenring/mods/5441 - Copy mod merger (Download version 1.2.1) to elden ring game folder in same folder with eldenring.exe. - start the mod merger it will create 2 folder : ModsToMerge and MergedMods - download "serpent hunter mod version 1.12.3 test" - in folder ModsToMerge make new folder rename it to "9. Vanilla Regulation" copy the original regulation to this folder then make new folder "8. serpent hunter"copy the regulation form serpent hunter mod to this folder. - run the mod merger follow the instruction. - copy "sfx" folder to "mod" folder that come with mod engine - don"t forget to add path to "MergedMods" in "config_eldenring.toml" - if u using more than 1 regulation just create another folder from "8. <name mod u want to use> to 1. <name mod u want to use>"
note : i use numeric in from of folder in "ModsToMerge" because it will load number 9 first then 8, 7, etc for merging. Hope this helping
I found a way to use the serpent hunter with the new version of the game. Some mod called MMM would give talisman that allows the use of the serpent spear and its power but I didn't wanna use a talis man so I still let the mod do its thing and then I used smithbox to changed the parameters for the serpent hunter and once i saved the params, I launched the game and the serpent hunter had its power without the talisman.
