Iirc, yes. I once had an edge in PVP (seamless coop) with my friends because I used a nagakiba replacement for the backhand blades and it had the range of the nagakiba. I think the game is programmed to use the built-in hitboxes and they're baked into the model.
You're free to say no to this as it's not something you were aiming to do but could you perhaps use the longer version to replace the wakizashi from the base game so its more of a wakizashi length? I ask since using this mod technically works but has a wakizashi on the hip that just sits there unused.
I originally wanted to do it for the wakizashi itself and use the dual wielding animations of the backhand blades but switching those makes you attack with a invisible blade when dual wielding,dunno what you mean of the unused part though you only equip one blade when one handing and both blades when dual wielding
what I mean is that if you use this mod to replace the wakizashi it still has the second blade but it just stays on the hip instead of just having one weapon, sort of the opposite of trying to replace a dual weapon like the backhand blade with a file that is supposed to replace a regular singular weapon. Like if you had an uchigatana reskin and tried to use it for the backhand blade it'd just show you with one even when "twohanding" it. With this it has the second wakizashi but on the hip and you don't do anything with it, and you dual wield it normally by powerstancing a second wakizashi in the left hand. I want to add that I like the mod you have here as is, it goes a long way for the Majora's Mask garo ninja cosplay character I'm doing currently. I was just curious about the longer wakizashi model as areplacement so that the wakizashi was more of an actual wakizashi length. It functions as is, it just has a weird second unused weapon on each hip if you dual wield the regular way, and if you want to see what I mean I can take a screenshot of it for you. As an aside I will say it replaces other dual weapons just fine, like the falx weapon which is something I actually do use it for as well, and I switch between those and the backhand blades, so its like my character is just switching his grip on them.

I noticed on some armor sets, it will push the weapon models further away while sheathed, but the scabbards will remain in the same spot, so the weapons will be floating away outside the sheaths. I don't know if that's an easy fix, but it's something I noticed
When you open smithbox right at the top you will find the Param Editor tab click on it then scroll down till you find WepAbsorpPosParam click on it,click on Data > Import CSV > From file > All fields and then find the csv from my zip file
Idk why, but the long version is just as short as the normal version edit: just to clarify, im using the long blade no scabbard mod, size is exactly the same as normal wakizashi edit2: the version with the scabbard is indeed longer, so the only bugged version is the "longer blade no scabbard"
