It's finally done I've been spending so much time working on this over the past month and a half that I'm not sure I even know what it is to not be working on a mod anymore. Oh who am I kidding, as if this won't have a million bugs I'll have to fix, even after various rounds of playtesting...

(Don't mind the fact that the boss selection NPC is now Gideon instead of Astel, I just really couldn't be asked to record new clips and edit the video for the new version).
The core idea behind this new mode is to use the same framework offered by Boss Arena, but instead of having everything available from the start, you must obtain most items and upgrades from bosses. The bosses themselves are structured into tiers of increasing difficulty, and whil... -
Shameless plug time! If you're in the niche of feeling like playing more of the game than just bosses, but also not feeling like riding around on Torrent through miles of open world to get various items or just to reach the next dungeon, you may be interested in my new mod, Dungeon Crawler.
It primarily does two things, along with many other smaller changes:

Also it really shows the difference in scope between games when I was able to make this from scratch in a weekend, while just updating Elden Ring for the DLC took me a couple of weeks. The wonders of 20-something bosses versus 200+...... -
Boss Arena: Progression Mode preview

Aside from maintaining the current mode (soon to be known as Sandbox Mode), this is what I've been working on for the past few weeks. This is a new spin on Boss Arena which focuses on progressing through tiers of bosses while making your character stronger and obtaining items from bosses. Almost every item in the game world has been reassigned as boss drops instead, and you can choose between a fixed set of items per boss with limited randomization, or fully randomized drops instead.
I'm doing some final playtesting for now, mostly focused on balancing, but I expect to be able to release the new mode soon. Stay tuned!...
