Well I don't know about dx11 vs dx12. dx12 the Jax facelift works and it does change caja's hair color back to red but her hairstyle won't change. I've tried remerging all mods together(First playthrough so I am just getting these facelift mods) and it still wouldn't change. So I tried dx11 and none of the mod textures/meshes loaded and the game runs like absolute trash. I guess I can settle with red hair, at least now Caja somewhat resembles her elex 1 character model.
Unlimited Companions has an Equip Module capable of that. It is actually developed for Lily and with her courtesy expanded upon other ladies. You can also use Custom Companions or ELEX 2 Enhanced, it's all merged there.

Since the update yesterday, this (and other mods) don't work anymore :-/ Tried to copy it to the data>packed folder and also to the new ELEX2DX11>data>packed folder. Still doesn't work.
Yep correct..the DX12 update was released. Still some issues, as it seems. Unfortunately the mods are not working with the update (due to dx12?), and it's not possible to run the dx11 version.
So I finally got my hands on the DX12 version and to make it short, DX12 doesn't load any modded Textures or Meshes and for now there is nothing that can be done about it.
It seems it uses some new version of .elex2img that can't even be extracted, but multiple tests has shown that it might ignore the modded Image folder altogether.
While a limited number of mods like this one could be rewritten to not actually replace textures or meshes, that would mean more blind hex editing which is not worth my time at all.
I posted my findings in the original elexresman forums so maybe there could be some solutions in the future.
For now it's a toss up between better FPS and uglier graphics in DX12 or working texture mods, much worse fps, but better shadows in DX11.
Too sad :-( I was totally fine with the dx11 version. But we can't even choose to use the dx11 instead of dx12. Anyways, thanks for all the effort you put into this and your fast replies!
Hm interesting. Please make a request in Merged Facelifts and I'll upload it there for you. Regarding the errors I don't know at which stage it went wrong.
Post what files don't work. It was reported that Textures don't work on DX12 version. As for the meshes, the "hair types", those must work as they are replaced by a different mesh. Also if you run any other mods it is needed to merge them or at least test this mod alone to see if it still doesn't work.
m_8_FACELIFT_CAJA_TRAILER_1_GREEN , i tried also to merge all the mods i have but somehow merging all of them into a new pak after extracting them disable all the mods
m_8_FACELIFT_CAJA_TRAILER_1_GREEN works fine, like this. That's solo mod on DX11. Most of these should not need a merge. Anyway after you merge your mods only run that 1 merged mod, not the rest. I don't know what other merging problem there might be.
Is it possible to restore the loading screen Caja outfit and Nyra hairstyle, which seem to have been early build versions? There are even in-game screens with them on some sites like gamepressure guides.
PB worked on their Meshes in PATCH 4 and since I made lot of mods that play with them, now I have too much work on my hands to fix the mess. Nonetheless I'll update all of them. But only if it's the Mesh thing, I can't provide mod support to beta DX12 testing.
Hi, Can you do a Caja please without any changes apart from the hair colour? Would be great to have with ginger hair instead of brown but not too intense red. I like the hairstyle she got in-game & everything, don't need lipstick, etc. just the slight, little hair colour change would be great! :)
Yes, actually I'm working right now on Nasty that has this feature, so right after that I'll do Caja and Jax 2.0. We will have coloured hair and also eyes.
