Question: Is there a detailed description for the quest bug fixes? I encountered the Forgetful Outlaw bug, so I know that one - but am curious about the other ones.. Also, do you by chance have a quest fix only mod? Thanks!
Check the changelog. Plus every bugfixed quest have its own video. There can't be a quest only fix mod as the only way how to script anything outside of an .exe are infoscripts = dialogues, and for that you need a NPC. Technically you can just use this mod if you encounter any of the bugs to fix your saves, and then stop using the mod if you don't want the other things.
Also fixing the bugged quests via the quest.hdr would be pointless, as that would not fix already bugged saves, and besides that it would be way too much work, if possible at all.
Ahh - ok makes sense. Thanks for the explanation. For those that don't want to watch the videos:
Quests: Mutant Pack in Ateris, Machines Run Amok, Advance of the Infected in Tavar, and Skyanid Attack in Carakis
The quests require a specific number of creatures to be killed and sometimes they just aren't there. The fix basically "kills" those invisible creatures and completes the quest.
Quest: A Forgetful Outlaw
NPC wants you to find gear which sometimes isn't there and not available. The fix adds those items to your inventory to return to the NPC.
NPC Tilas
He is supposed to teach Health, Metabolism, and Chemistry. Sometimes he doesn't offer that option. The fix re-enables the dialog for him to teach you.
NPC Alexej Quest: Shards for the Prisoners
He is supposed to offer you the quest. If he doesn't, the fix has him offer it to you.
NPC Alexej Quest: Gosta's Contests Quest
He wants you to solve the Shards for Prisoners quest before he will duel you. The fix removes the Shards for Prisoners quest so you can fight in the duel first. When that's complete, run the Shards for Prisoners quest fix to add it back.
Quest: Billy Idol Concert
Step 1 (required): Under the in-game settings section, you have to enable the external music option.
Step 2: The fix instantly warps you and your companions to the Billy Idol concert and the concert cut scene.
Manual trigger: Find a radio and manually turn on/off until the announcer starts talking about music fans and Billy Idol concert. Then when the quest appears in your log, go to the concert arena, and approach it to trigger the concert/event.
Sadly, it's not working for me, nor on DX12 nor 11... I put into either folder but Death didn't approach at the marked location. I tried my old save file and make a new too. Any idead?
If you have it in the right folder and it doesn't work that only means you run a mod with a higher load order that overwrites the others. Try it solo and then merge all your mods with the available guide. But first make sure you have the .pak file in the packed folder, and as you run both versions, have it in both the DX11 and DX12 just for the testing.
Thanks for reply. Now it's working but partly :( I turned off all other mod as you suggest. Now Death is there I can trade with him chat etc... But when I send my companion back to bastion to try out new custom ones, just got black screen after xy left the group message has done. The game is up I hear the in game sound can open map, teleport etc, but the screen is black. Any tip?
Both releases z_DEATH.pak and z_DEATH_COMPANIONS.pak work fine and have all the scripts needed. Tested both on DX11 and DX12. Btw what the hell is wrong with the moon in DX12? I don't really run that version but it looks like that could be easily fixed if PB wanted.
Anyway if you have some save where the party kick out dialogue hangs for you, you can upload it somewhere and I'll take a look.
Also you can run all your mods, but you do have to merge them, as the game basically only loads one mod, the one with the highest load order. Merging order matters of course, but if you'll specify which mods you run I can help you with the order.
Thanks for fast reply! I deleted all my mods and now I'm using your Elex 2 Enhanced mod. Works like a charm <3 Technically I used mods from that pack more or less 1-2 :D Man you did amazing work. This is my 3rd playthrough so I needed some new stuff into the game and your Enhanced mod pack is just a right one! I apprieciate the time and effort you put into that mods!
I can't make it work with the Unlimited Companions mod, both makes changes on the same files so when I merge it all I have to choose which I want to keep. Tried editing the files manually to copy code lines, but I suck at it... haha. Is that a way to make them work together?

Have a great day
If you want just these 2, both info.hdr files have to be internally merged. I might take a look at that later.
doesn't look like it but i'd love to try it sometime when it is.
