this new version adds a bunch of files that change a lot of things : 1 - blocks config : - increased mineral drop by around 100% . in the files, you actually get 2 rocks , but when you use auto-pick up, you only get 1 rock . it's very convenient to auto-pick up the rocks and move on, but you loose half the drops, for that reason, had to double it ... your actually getting a value around max vanilla drop. - enabled some rocks will drop extra resources. - plant drops increased a bit : example getting 3 stimulant instead of 1 . others are only doubled. - improved autominer harvest, reduced energy usage . you can now paint auto-miners. - solar panels effectiveness increased from 1 to 5 or 5 , depending if it's small or large solar panel. more hitpoints. solar battery tank and output increased a bit . - you can place an autominer over a gold field .
- can place SV weapons in to HV and HV weapons in to SV
- tweaked shield Generators : reduced mass, energy consumption and CPU for : - increased shield HP (10x) amount and regeneration (50%) for : Base Shield large Gen T2 , Capital Vessel T1 and T2 Shields , HV and SV shields.
(except Base T1 shield , because POI shields are based on those values)
2 - Containers : - increased mobs drop itens a bit up.
3 - DefReputation : - (still testing) - - you should be able to loot from neutral of friendly containers without loosing standings. - you should be able to harvest POI crops without loosing standings . as a consequence, destroying blocks do not count as an aggression.
4 - items config : tweaked weapons and tools to have different performance
- increased items and ammo stack. - less recoil - less spread - increased weapons range by 10% to 20% - increased weapons damage but reduced fire rate (it was just wasting ammo). - increased weapons ammo amount (at least 2x on most). - energy weapons fill clip with just 1 ammo cell. - weapons and tools have less degradation. - weapons have auto-fire (just hold mouse click) - explosives can be placed at a much larger range and faster. (from 2m to 28m or 32m) - flame thrower ammo from 50 to 500 and range from 6m to 28m+
- Armours got improved : better stats . less jetpack usage . less stamina use . - Armour booster got improved.
- capital turrets should work on planets. (need to test)
- multi-tool has 2 new options - harvest rocks and trees without damaging terrain (moved to the right side) . also has radar. - drills also have that mod to harvest rocks without damaging terrain. (moved to the right side) todo : need to tweak description of rock scooping - multi-tools have ammo increased to 2k+ (vanilla ammo of T1 multi-tool changed to a different ammo, and i kept the ammo type as the new vanilla change. look at multi-tool description)
- multi-tools have more range and more damage to remove blocks. material return increased a bit.
Templates - added recipes for crafting : medium armor. light epic armor , medium epic armor .
crosbow bolts
tweaked pentaxid crafting recipe , to demand more stone dust, instead of 100 pentaxid to get 105 pentaxid ... now requires 100 stone dust instead.
ToDo : increase blocks and windows HP reduce thrusters mass and energy consumption enabled to place healing station from HV in to SV.

new update coming up . i don't know how well i'll be able to update this mod for the next update . i started doing some tweaks on RE2.
i suggest keeping a folder from version "Empyrion - Galactic Survival v1.11.10" ( v1.11.8 or v1.11.10) on the side , in case you wish to keep playing it. if the update makes the mod unplayable, i'll just re-do it, when a new vanilla comes out with "enough" content (and time available) to check it out.
the new update on beta, adds some new blocks , so , i would have to add them manually or just use the mod without seeing those items ... we will what will be possible to do.
to see old saves on a copied steam folder from empyrion game, you need to go to : - Empyrion root directory create a copy of the “Empyrion_Example.props” & rename it to just “Empyrion.props” - Open it in notepad++ & add this on a new line & save the file
[DebugOverrides] ForceGamePlatform = 2
- then with steam running start the game again with EmpyrionLauncher.exe from the root directory (you can create a shortcut for this & have it on your desktop)
Good news/ Bad news with V1.9.4 The good news is only one of the three files causes issues. The bad news is that it's the ItemsConfig file which does most of the magic.
Thanks for the info. With it, the fix is relatively easy. In the ItemsConfig file change: for Item Id: 20 (the T2 pistol) the TechTreeParent: from Pistol to SMG (line 1517) for Item Id: 35 (T2 Laser pistol) the TechTreParent: to LaserSMG (line 2147) After that, copy from the original file the items 805 (line 11314) - 808 (line 11539) into the modded file. Save, and it works. At least for me.
yeah , it requires a new build from vanilla files . i was about to start a new version, when i saw the new update announcement and prosponed it, because it takes me some time to mod stuff and then , i would have to start all over again.
Hey Dremen, is this project still active? I love using it and unfortunately, I can't roll back to an older beta without corrupting my saves. I edited the new items.config stack sizes for now but i miss the other tweaks!
current version works with vanilla 1.11.10 at 15 January 2025 . vanilla will have an update soon, to add more blocks , so that might invalidate the blocksconfig.
probably . i don't have dark faction yet . i can try to modify it , but i would need some one else to test it .
what aspects are you looking to get changed in dark faction ? items duration ?
because each files reflect different aspects of the game items . weapons are defined on the itemsconfig but a ship turret is defined on itemsconfig but it's block is configured on the blocksconfig and radars are just fun because the proprieties like radar rang is spred between them and one overweights the other.
i have been thinking tweaking dark faction since it came out.
also, dark faction files defined on it's own scenario but maybe it could be copied to the random survival scenario. have not tested it yet.
during this time, i was testing some tweaks on Reforged Eden and testing new things. but there was already some other tweaked version of reforged Eden . i did not published my tweaked version because i was asking and waiting for an answer about releasing a tweaked version of it.
i do have a question about this mod : do people prefer this version that is compatible with vanilla (as it keeps the vanilla id's) or would people like a tweaked version of Reforged Eden (which would be released on steam workshop) ?
in any case, i would probably release a new update in some weeks , but there's been a wile since last significative empyrion release and new update might come just before a new game update, which means, a lot of work to just have to update again.
How did you edit the amount of resources harvested with the survival tool? The default is like 2 or 3 ore from say a copper ore rock. With your mod, it was like 8 or 9 but the new update reset it.
the new update makes a new start a bit less grind . replaces 3 vanilla files (you can make a backup of them)
there is an internal error after changing some turrets , but they seem to work fine , so ... just click continue.
the game will have a new update in 2-3 weeks and some times, there's actual game internal bugs that need to be fixed, so it might be from that. i intend on narrowing down the issue and polish the issue but it might be from the game itself, as there have been changes in the items and how they can be tweaked that maybe cause some issues.
yes . it's related with changing the turrets . i will try to narrow it on next update . but might be actual game issue so i'll try to find out. as i have said before , i noticed no ill effects from the "error message" so i upload it before next update hits .
i hope to be faster on the next update and i have already sorted out ways to be faster or so i hope.
I could not get it to work on 1.4 it just tends to crash or throw error msgs when starting a new game or looking at dead NPC's Inv. But I like the idea of this mod it sounds cool so I hope it get's a update soon.

Mod works but I cannot spawn any new items and get a lot of internal errors. Flight is also disabled.
i might still add a few things , like increased door HP for cv's and sv's/HV's

in any case, i have some issues with my pc and need to take some days fixing it.
