Edit 2 (10/11/2024): Haven't played Enshrouded in a while, but came back recently and now you can get Reshade to work again. Instructions thanks to user Garrold in the comment section.

EDIT: As of the most recent update (6/13/2024) Reshade is no longer working with Enshrouded.  Unless you have the files from before the update, you will not be able to use Reshade.  I am leaving this up for now with hopes it will eventually work again, but in the meantime I have started using Nvidia Filters. If anyone wants, I can post a screenshot with the settings I use, it resembles my Reshade very closely.

There are already plenty of reshades, but I have a personal preference.  Sent this to a few friends who really liked it so I thought I'd share it in case anyone else wants to try it.

Nights get dark. I tried to rectify this but the loss of detail and return of the white haze made it not feasible for me to justify the alteration.  Personally I don't mind it because night is supposed to be dark.  Just be aware that with this reshade on, things will be hard to see without a light source.

Install:

1. Install ReShade to Enshrouded.exe - i used 6.3.1 (Choose Vulkan)

2. Place the .ini file from this zip folder into the main Enshrouded install folder - (usually SteamApps/Common/Enshrouded)

3. Open Steam, right click on Enshrouded in your library, click properties.  Under Launch Options enter the following:

--keep-vulkan-layers

4. Open the game - if it worked,  you should see Reshade at the top of the screen.
> Press HOME on your keyboard to open the Reshade ui.
> Click the bar at the top that says "ReshadePreset" and select "Ensephed"

5. Profit

I did add a slight guassian blur. It didn't destroy any detail and added to the magical feel of the game, imo.  If you don't like it, just untick it in the reshade ui and then click the floppy icon (Save) on the right side of the Reshade UI next to the preset name to make sure the change sticks.
