It's what Unreal Engine uses for map files. Unlike in TLC, you can't just use ChocolateBox/tng editing to add/remove most things from maps. For example, in Oakvale, if you remove the fence gate that blocks the scarecrow, the mesh will still be in the world, but with no collision.
Afraid not, not without breaking the mod. The trees you can walk through aren't hand-placed like objects, they're sort of painted into the level. You could in theory put an invisible object with a collision inside the tree, but you'd have to do it in ChocolateBox with every single tree in the game, and you'd be doing it blind too!
Thanks for your answer, I'll try to see if I can do something in places that do not need freeroam by playing with the finalalbion.wad in fable explorer.
I'm having trouble getting this mod started. I followed the instructions, but I don't think it has started working. I checked the leaderboard in the guild hall before the tavern and it is still the mystic scribbles. Anybody have any advice as to how to get it set up? The mod also isn't showing up in Vortex. However I did just realize that the hero dolls are scattered throughout so I'm not really sure.
Vortex isn't supported! It sounds like the mod's working in terms of map changes because of the hero dolls (for the Guild leaderboard, it looks the same as normal, but you need to interact with it to see the text). If the Blueberry Pie gives you a stat boost when you eat it, then everything's working! If it doesn't, you'll just need to recopy over the game.bin and script.bin to your Data\CompiledDefs\Development folder.
Is this mod compatible with mods like Control Your Appearance? I want to start an evil playthrough, but I dislike the evil morph. The linked mod edits game.bin.
No, any mod that edits game.bin or script.bin won't be compatible unless they made a Redux version! I'd recommend either tackling it yourself or using FableMenu (which is compatible with Redux) to change your appearance.
Something weird is going on with my Fable Anniversary:
I run the modded DLC with four mods: 1. This mod 2. FreeRoam 2. FableMenu 3. Gorinox's Overwhelming Foliage
Now, everytime I turn off my computer, when I turn it on to play Fable, the game refuses to launch. Just CTDs. I would have to verify the file integrity - which then tells me some files failed to verify, re-acquire the files, and reinstall this mod and Gorinox's. After this, the game runs flawlessly.
This happens every time I turn off my computer. Quitting the game and restarting it without shutting off my computer has creates no problems.
Is this Steam somehow replacing my files or something? Has anyone experienced this?
I've had a lot of fun with this mod, it's great. When is the 100% completion guide coming out, because I've been looking so hard for post-Jack chests and can't find them. Want to open them all before giving my keys away
If I remember rightly, there's no new post-Jack silver key chests (just normal ones) so you're good to go! As for a guide in general, I (stupidly) didn't make one when the mod came out and it's been so long now I've forgotten where everything is. There's a guide to some of the collectables in the Articles section though!
The current install has a bones folder in it, but applying it is optional! The previous version had the .bncfg as a separate file because I'd forgot to include it in the main mod in that update!
If I recall correctly, it's 25! It's still easy to open later in the game with the physical shield exploit, but I didn't want players to get a (possibly buffed) Cutlass Bluetane right at the start of the game!
This is a rare vanilla bug that's been in the game since TLC. Not sure what causes it, but I know it tends to only happen in Bowerstone South. Never personally had the bug myself, though

I wish we could keep the enemy default number as the one in the main game.
The numbers they have compared to you are tedious...
