Nice job man, call me crazy, but I actually think your edits make the tiles look better haha. If I get more performance out of it too, well that's a bonus. Thanks mate!
I've uploaded the final version of what I consider to be the Medium detail release. The next release will also include the first Low detail release, which will further reduce detail in already-edited files.
