Copy the "data" folder to fallout 2 installation folder (where oryginal "data" folder is located - example: C:\Fallout 2\). Override everyfile .frm when necessary.
To mirror what the original poster was asking-- are we using the folder called "mod files" or is that a redundant folder that doesn't get used?
There is a folder for data.. obviously.. and there is a folder called "mods" but there is no folder called "mod files" so either this mod requires the use of a unique additional folder called "mod files", or its a redundant folder that doesn't get used at all. Which is it?
It is a little hard to understand your explanation. Do you mean that we need to "merge" you data folder with the game's data folder? Or do we need to take the folders out of the mod's data folder, and place the files within certain folders in the game? Can you provide an exact file path as to where all of the individual files go? For instance, there is no folder in the game called "scenery".
I believe you may not be using the current Steam version which makes it confusing for us. Thank you
Would you consider making a "green mod" or Fallout 2? Just make the dead trees healthy and green, while still going transparent when the character goes through them like the dead trees and making the ground covers green and overgrown, maybe not as vibrant as in Vault City, after all, there's a draught going on, but more natural and more suited for the actual climate for the Northwest where most of the game takes place? Otherwise, this little makeover looks great!
?Regarding "green mod" - yeah idea flew past my mind at one point (as well as other things), but redesigning assets for f2 is... a bit overwhelming if I can say so myself. True changing few trees and bushes (and other assets) is simple enough but adding new stuff like more detail to the maps would require playing with map editor - and this I don't like. :( Maybe a bit off topic, but coloring perks (my other mod) took me 2 month of painstakingly changing pixel by pixel by hand. So you know it is a hassle. :P In this mod I focused more on furniture and less on environment since it's easier. But hey playing in PS or GIMP to change sprites is pretty easy, so if you idea and time you could give it a try. :) I'm always hopping that someone would get inspired and use my ideas as jumping-off point. :) Thanks though, appreciate it. :)
Yes, I have few ideas. From time to time I like to comeback to play with sprites, so with some free time, I will be adding more stuff. In the meantime, you're free play around with my other mods. :)

If you want to install mod: copy only "data" folder.
