Just a heads up for everyone thinking of increasing their level cap.
The reason a level cap exists is because enemy spawns are dependent on the player's level. For example, if you're, say, level 80, then all the super mutants will spawn as overlords, all the radscorpions will be albinos, all the enclave soldiers will be the tougher Hellfire variants, all the ghouls will be feral reavers and so on.
Therefore increasing the level cap increases the game difficulty. At level 99 you'll probably have to use the god mode console command to survive battles, unless you can deal with two super mutant overlords shooting at you with missile launchers while another three blast you with tri-beam laser rifles.
Oh, and if you get this and if you have Broken Steel, don't enable this mod unless your character has started the Broken Steel quests and is already at the broken Steel level cap (30). Otherwise you will experience constant crashes.
Not so much of a problem with the Chinese Stealth Armor and a sneak skill of 100 - just soaks up a lot of ammo while they are confused looking for you xD
Enemies will not scale up with your level after level 30 since Bethesda never intended the player to reach any level higher than that and this mod doesn't edit anything to do with enemy scaling so you should really be OP by the time your level 40 or so.
Really, could have been why I was getting random CTD the last time I installed this I did it with a fresh start, but with adding and removing mods, changing load order and having fixed a few items in the older Apocalypse armory mod, I don't know what it was, plus I installed Canterbury_Commons_Interiors & Guards_v1.3 -1146 & 5900 and I never looked in CK to see that mod edited.
Just think of all those poor scripts lost in the terrible abyss with no guidance from a loving mother or father. look what you've done you cruel evil monster!!!!
Yall do know that you can manually unorphan those scripts that can't find their esp right? I learned while playing Skyrim, and it's not even as hard with Fallout 3. Just popped open a save file from F03 and my my, they are soooo simple.
that is not how leveling works exactly. You have to consider the Encounter Zones too. EncounterZones are tallied the First time the player enters that Zone and ONLY the first time. So if you enter UnderworldZone when you are level 5, The game is Forever going to spawn enemies (and other stuff) in that encounter zone based on the player being Level5.
could you please specify: once you've enabled the mod, and at the same time haven't started BS yet, it means that BS would keep crushing? or you could disable mode before starting BS and everything would be just fine?
No. They're not compatible with any form of console, the only games that are are Skyrim special edition, and Fallout 4, both for xbox one/ps4 and up, and they're only available exclusively through the mod menu through the game itself or on bethesda.net. There is plain and simple nothing you can do to get around this, it's just the way it works. It's why most people get PC's for modding, because even the xbox one/ps4 modding is INCREDIBLY limited and restricted. If you want to mod, get a PC
Oh, and if you get this and if you have Broken Steel, don't enable this mod unless your character has started the Broken Steel quests and is already at the broken Steel level cap (30). Otherwise you will experience constant crashes.
Maybe this was true for you but I'm playing Fallout 3 GOTY now in 2023 and installed this mod from the beginning and have never had any issues. I'm about to finish this play-through right now, currently at Adams Air Force Base and no problems. I'm using the Updated Unofficial Fallout 3 Patch so I'm not sure if that makes any difference but haven't had any problems with this mod.
@Quickaccount7710 99% of mods probably wouldn't work on console, but some very very simple ones, like cheats or mods that only use vanilla assets might, there's some hoops to jump through though. I used to use some super basic mods and save edits on Oblivion back on 360 lol. You'd need a USB drive, and access to a computer with Fallout 3 installed. You can start simple by say, using an npc face as a template for character creation. Just gotta create a save on FO3 before leaving 101, find some sort of tool or mod that gives you access to the face, change your character, then move that save to your USB memory stick. Put it in your xbox and try loading the save :)
This is my first playthrough of FO3 in 2022. First time modding too. Very modest load order (mostly textures with MMM, DC Interiors, EVE etc) and hit 30 a few days ago. Installed this MID PLAYTHROUGH using Vortex (because it does all the faff for you i.e. load order and rules for conflicts etc) and it simply WORKS. Level 35 now and loving it.
To address the issue of scaling: Monsters are no harder at 35 than they were at 30. There are just more Overlords, Albino Scorpions and Reaver's etc. Doesn't matter though, the Plasma Rifle makes short work of them in VATS :)
Hopefully you still use this account, so I can ask you a question about this... I really want to level past 30 so I can get the dopamine hit when the level up theme plays, and get a a few more perks since I'm close to 30 and there were some I didn't get. HOWEVER I'm really dreading fighting the Broken Steel variants of every enemy, 100% of the time because it isn't really "harder" just more time consuming and immersion breaking. Do you notice the percentage of Broken Steel variants has gone up drastically past Level 30? Say, 60% of the Super Mutants you come across are Overlords, and 40% are Masters or less? I'm Level 26 and my ratio of Broken Steel variants is about 1:5, in every 5 Super Mutants, Ghouls, Radscorpions I come across, maybe one is the BS variant. One Super Mutant Overlord is okay... I can sneak a frag grenade in his inventory and kill him instantly, but with 2 or more of these Level 30 enemies in groups it becomes three minutes straight of shooting hundreds of rounds to take them down.
copy and past the esp file in the data folder for fallout 3. You should check the esp file in the game launcher or the mod manager you're currently using. incase you are not using a mod manager open the game launcher select data files and check the esp file for this mod.
Hi friends, after many many years I'm playing Fallout 3 Goty on Epic. The game runs fine, but when I installed the Mod " level 1-99 " ( 30 levels for such a big game is not enough ),the game freezes after reaching level 31 " and I even have to restart the computer to get out.I can allocate points, but when I go to perks, mark some and confirm...that's it. Even Ctrl+Alt+Delete doesn't help...I have to do a complete restart. Can anyone advise what can be done...? Thanks
Hi! I got a doubt, I hope some of you guys can help me if reads this. I downloaded the mod and I put into the data file, but when I get into the game it doesn't work... completely, Look, when I do fast travel, in the charging screen I can see the xp accountant "30-----31", but It doens't move at all, the xp in the pip-boy say MAX. I tried go to a Save in level 29 and start from there with the mod, but again, I level up to 30 and then stops with MAX xp. I tried installing v1 and then v2, and nothing change. The curious thing is that I can see the level up accountant goes 30 to 31, but cause I'm in MAX xp when I kill a npc or do anything that should give me xp, It doesn't. If someone knows what's happening or need any other information to help me out with this I'll be here to read any idea that you may have. That's all! Here's a similar mod you can try, though ironically the most recent post also mentions your same problem... https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout3/mods/359?tab=posts Someone else replied saying it might be a mod conflict and to load it below other mods, I also recommend looking at the mod through FO3Edit to make sure no plugin is reverting/overwriting any changes this mods plugin makes.
Interestingly, If you go through the geck looking into the Leveled lists, there is evidence that proves that Bethesda had at one time planned for the game level cap to be higher than 30. I know of at least a few leveled lists in the DLC5 zeta add-on which are set for the player at level 42 and were left that way by the devs.
all names are the same with vanilla and another perk mods.... can u give unique names to these perks plz?
Action Boy 5 Levels Action Girl 5 Levels Cyborg 5 Levels Finesse 5 Levels Life Giver 5 Levels Rad Resistance 5 Levels I Strong Back 10 Levels Toughness Levels 5
About the perk version: some perks have too many levels or should have been nerfed. The though skin, for example, allows you to get 85 DR without armour or other perks. Same for cyborg. They raise DR and other stats so much that they render other skills, perks or quest rewards obsolete.
I enjoyed the concept, but it needs to be fixed to work properly.

Because now you've screwed up ALL of the mod indexes that use Scripts.
Either install this mod and leave it enabled, or don't install it.
You should NEVER add/remove mods in the middle of gameplay
That you know of.
I bet your saves are riddled with orphaned scripts that can't find their parent esp because the mod index shifted.
There are some mods that I want to remove!
You have to consider the Encounter Zones too.

I've been playing F)3 for almost 15 years now and had no issues with this mod.
Good job, mate.
