I put it in Data\meshes\2handrifle and it changed only if it was lying around, and not in my hands. I even made a duplicate file and named it "1stpersonlincolnrifle_n", but nothing changed, the rifle in my hands still looked standard.
A few days later, I realized that this was my mistake, it was an obvious conflict with the RH_IronSights mod. Then I put your nif in Data\meshes\0roguehallow\RH_IronSights\Vanilla\Rifles\LincolnsRepeater and renamed it according to RH to LincolnsRepeater_IS.nif and surprisingly everything worked, even the targeting works correctly.
I dropped your mod into Vortex and the handguard is still showing. I double checked I downloaded the correct file but does the mesh replacer not work on Vortex?
any way you could remove the forward guard too? cause your fix just made the magazine completely unusable rather than just making like the last 3 rounds not feed correctly, what that tab does is provide an easy way to check how many bullets are left as well as give you a way to depress the tube spring
I'm not a gun guy so I'm not exactly sure what you are saying but i understand what you are asking. The short answer is I would need to do that modification in blender because that part of the mesh is not another node like that tab is and i have never used blender. I've tried to install and use it in the past to no avail. I may be able to do this in the future.
*Oh I get it now. It's suppose to slide along the magazine tube. Correct? A mod where it gets closer after every shot would be awesomely unnecessary. But I have no idea how to do that. A fully functioning, animated, accurate Lincoln Henry Rifle needs to be made. Alas, I don't think I'm the one to do it. That's a lot of time for a little thing. Which isn't a bad thing. But I already have a lot to do in modding my game and I would like to play it some day.
Nice that means my character will have to learn the "Henry hop". or not because this game is up in years and adding new player animations is kinda meeh.
Actually, I don't think that mod changes the model. Just the texture. But no, I somehow missed that texture pack till today. I'll definitely be using some of those textures in my game.
Exactly how i feel. Only noticed it after looking at the mesh about 30 times while creating a texture for it and researching what henry rifles actually look like.
