ToggleImmortalMode seems to be a bit broken for me. Passing 2 as an argument, for example, acts functionally the same as passing 1, as it still results in HP and limb damage, but does prevent death.
Additionally, the command doesn't seem to work for returning its current mode: i.e., the example pulled from geckwiki, "set iImmortalMode to ToggleImmortalMode", doesn't produce values for "iImmortalMode" (float) besides 0 when displayed using "ShowMessage myMessage iImmortalMode", with %.0f as an argument in the message itself.
I'm wondering if these quirks are bugs indeed, or just user error. I was mainly interested in this function as a temporary form of invulnerability to prevent fall damage, before turning it off again after landing; Geckwiki states that ResetFallDamageTimer is broken, so I'm kind of bummed that I'll have to manually track and restore the player's lost HP, instead.
I'm at a loss...Tried everything to Try and get terminals to zoom out. Changing ini. fRenderedTerminalFOV=100 fRenderedTerminalZoom=35
making the FalloutCustom.ini
I have a 5120x1440 monitor, everything works great EXCEPT when i use the Terminals in game or the SPECIAL book. They are zoomed in to a point not everything is on the screen. When terminals are locked out, I cant even click to close them and TAB doesn't work to exit. I keep seeing IStewieAI's response to get his Ultra wide fix, but it doesn't seem to remedy this. Anyone know if I'm changing the wrong INI files?
Thanks for the quick reply, its much appreciated. However, and i do apologize for my ignorance. There are so many .ini files, where exactly is this?
Am I using the Stewie_Tweaks.ini under this folder? D:\Steam\steamapps\common\Fallout 3 goty\Data\fose\plugins
I've changed : [Ultrawide Support]
; fov scale applied to menus and scope zoom, vanilla is 0.75 fMenuFOVScale = 0.25
This does nothing. Ive used multiple scales and it doesn't seem to do anything, could something be overwriting this command? I don't have a FalloutCustom.ini so not sure where else to change it.
( again sorry for the ignorance) do i need to extract that [Ultrawide Support] ; fov scale applied to menus and scope zoom, vanilla is 0.75 fMenuFOVScale = 0.25 and place this in another .ini for it to work? if so which one? (there are multiple) again thanks
Yes, you need to enable bUltrawideFix under [Tweaks]
Yea I think I pretty much give up. I get this is on your time and have to answer a lot of these, but there are so many questions to the one sentance answers. If you want to spend the time I appreciate it, but things like:
What INI am i putting this in? There isn't a single one with that code in it.
Your [Tweaks] Folder located (D:\Steam\steamapps\common\Fallout 3 goty\Data\fose\plugins\Tweaks) Doesn't have this command.
Do i physically have to write this somewhere and put bUltrawideFix=1 (if so Ive tried this in all the INI's for FalloutPrefs and Fallout_Default) What INI am i writing this in exactly?
Is there a way to set this in Nexus (as this is part of the Fallout Rebirth+ collection)
Again if you don't have the time i get it. But there may be a bit of hand holding to figure this out and i truly do appreciate it.
You will find it in the same Stewie_Tweaks.ini file that you found the fMenuFOVScale setting. Change the bUltrawideSupport = 0, to be bUltrawideSupport = 1.
Ok thanks for the instructions. However under that INI the only thing displayed for Ultrawide is this:
[Ultrawide Support]
; fov scale applied to menus and scope zoom, vanilla is 0.75 fMenuFOVScale = 0.25
Ive changed it to read this:
[Ultrawide Support]
; fov scale applied to menus and scope zoom, vanilla is 0.75 fMenuFOVScale = 0.25 bUltrawideFix = 1 I saved the INI, and closed the screen. Even closed Nexus and restarted it.
Sadly it is still zoomed in. (only terminal screens and SPECIAL book)
I am experiencing the same issue - activating the SPECIAL book zooms in and locks the screen. I followed the .ini fixes without success, any other guidance on this one?
Installed this using vortex. When I try to play the game I keep getting a warning that command extender and fose aren't installed. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling but it doesn't work. Just keep getting the same error over and over. Looking at the comments here this seems to be normal but no fix in sight.
Post FOSE.log here and I'll see if there's a problem causing Command Extender to not load - if you don't see that file then FOSE itself isn't loading which is not something I can fix here.
Anyone have an idea for a fix or if i need to do anything. Everytime I load up the game it says that FOSE mod and Command extender are either out of date or not working properly with the mod manager. Should I leave as is or is there a step that i missed
This keeps resetting my ini files and in-game settings when run through MO2, which I installed it on. Not sure how to fix this, as it completely regenerates the custom.ini if it's deleted too.
Edit: You can "fix" this by disabling "Use profile-specific game INI files" in MO2, but that seems like more of a workaround, considering that it basically disables one of MO2's main features. Will update more if I find a better solution.
I have that issue too and don't know how to fix it. Works sometimes but then reverts and overwrites. I only use Command Extender for UUF3P, otherwise I wouldn't bother with it. It's trivial to just backup clean ini files if that's what you need. The custom causes more problems than it solves for me at least.
thank you for this awesome mod, i have a question tho. so the "Wired Bullet Time" mod sent me here because your mod is a requirement for the bullet time to work with gamepad.
rather than bullet time, what i really want is to lower sensitivity when ADS with weapons, though i figured i could bind bullet time to the aim button, and set it to a toggle mode to it activates when aiming, deactivates when aiming stops.
there is a mod called "Precise Aim" that just lowers the sensitivity when aiming, but does not work with gamepad unless you use Xpadder, does your mod here give the precise aim mod the potential to work without needing Xpadder? If it is possible, would you be interested in making a patch, or an independent mod that allows for sensitivity reduction when aiming using gamepad?
Every time I launch the game, I get the errors of, "Fose not detected" and Command Extender not detected" even though the latest versions of both are installed and enabled. How do fix?

EDIT:
Found success with fMenuFOVScale = 1.25
what can be the issue here? as soon as I uninstall command extender the game works fine
same issue on GOG and Steam with anniversary patcher
