Out of curiosity to clarify, I don't need the Downgrade patch if I install the game and DLC's directly from the discs? I only ask because for both Oblivion and Fallout 3, installing directly from the discs was the only way I could get the games to work.
FYI to anyone getting "unknown version of fallout 3" after installing FOSE fose_v1_3_beta2 and downgrading fallout 3 with anniversary patcher, you have to launch the game through the new downgraded version of fallout3.exe NOT fose_loader.exe
I also had trouble launching any version of fallout3.exe or fose_loader.exe through Mod Organizer 2. I'm now using Vortex instead and everything seems to be working perfectly.
for some reason, Command Extender crash my game when i run the game. i have FOSE correct version, i run Aniverssary Patch, but the crash stills. Can anyone help me please? ty
edit: (This was my error) This mod has to be run without "Profile specific ini files" in mo2, otherwise the following issues arise. I can't start a new game (not a crash) because pressing yes just does literally nothing. I can still load saves fine though. Also, exiting the game to desktop makes it freeze hard until I close it with task manager.
Other people mention that their INI won't save with profile specific INI files but I haven't tested.
Easy fix is just not using profile specific INI files
I've followed the fallout 3 moddinglinked guide (found under the best of times on the website) and copied the INI file from the falloutcustom.ini from there. For some incredibly odd reason, I had the ttw falloutcustom configuration instead of the fallout 3 one despite having gone specifically to the fallout 3 section and copying the ini multiple times to try get my game working properly. Either I'm incredibly stupid or my MO2 is somehow giving me the wrong INI file? (I have multiple mo2 installations) Anyways thanks for replying. You set me on the right path to fix it and I knew something wasn't right but couldn't find any help anywhere so my only hope was here. Good mod!
Anyone know why this mod is messing with my DIMONIZED TYPE 3 mod? If I enable it, I get the black underwear and weird texture glitch, if I disable it, the mod works perfectly fine.
Ah thank you for the quick response :D unfortunately the mod limit fix doesn't work either, and I only have like 40 mods in total anyway. I've spent like 6 hours on trying to fix it, and I only needed the Command Extender for the Unofficial Patch, but my game is running fine at the moment, so I'll just skip it
I am only running Robert S Body Replacer. FOSE 1.3b2. MO2 and it has archive invalidation enabled. Command Extender.
No other mods. Tested with CE 22 through 1.0. I found that only V1, 2, 3 and 4 don't cause the issue. 5.0 and up all cause textures on the body to incorrectly show.
It looks like the correct nif is loading but the vanilla texture. I also tried with a Breeze body which has no ESP and the nif is correct but shows the incorrect texture. I believe this happened with a weapon mod also but need to verify and go retest. Definitely happening on body textures though.
Do we need the source files when installing the command extender or just the command extender? i felt not needing the source files as thats for modders right? or no? let me know
To add some context... the game tries to load fonts it doesn't have so it kills itself. The files are called darn_xxx_xx.fnt so if you don't have DarnUI installed the game crashes. So either remove those lines or install DarnUI for Fallout 3.
I guess you're following the MOFAM guide, I suggest to install the guide AT LEAST until the UI section, before trying to test it, otherwise darn fonts won't be there to be loaded, OR simply create the FalloutCustom.ini AFTER having installed darn
With this mod activated in MO2, the game will ALWAYS launch in fullscreen, no matter what. INIs edited, both in the normal directories and the MO2 profile-specific ones, and if I disable the mod in MO2 the game launches windowed just fine.
Edit: Right. FalloutCustom.ini. Renamed it to "waste of time" and it no longer forces fullscreen.

For what it's worth, the new commands Get/SetWorldspaceFlag are already in ButcherPete

what can be the issue here? as soon as I uninstall command extender the game works fine
same issue on GOG and Steam with anniversary patcher
