Sure, go ahead. I think I changed slightly more than I needed to with Cross. But it works, so I don't know haha. you might notice what I'm talking about.
On Charon, it was just a "goodbye" flag or something (if I remember right), and that might be all it really needed.
Hello! Its great to see someone fixing some of these great mods! Somehow after 10 years I thought this game would have some great new mods to freshen up this classic game... I've found that most people not only abandoned their mods soon as Vegas came out but many of the great old mods are no longer available anywhere. SAD! However that hasn't stopped me from trying to revamp the game with my own rebalance and tweak the mods I can find to fit in my game as I did 10 years ago. My issue is with companion mods... I've found very few that aren't missing essential commands like this is your home or go home. Some have one or the other but very few have both. Working companion mods I'm using so far are Slave Raider, Myrrin, Brian Wilks, And Bittercup companion... I'm also using Ultimate Amata but her "go home" dialog is missing even though I can tell her this is your home... I also have Alice companion but had to add lines to her AI to get her to follow my male character and her wait script is either broke or doesn't exist. I have Sharing Caring companions installed to work around some of the missing options but that is also missing a "go home" command... Last night I found the Conventional Companions Pack and got real excited as it adds many companions I would like! However the ones I've found so far are either missing the same commands or are behaving really strange. Harkness is laying on the ground with his legs flopping in the air like He's taking it in the can from the Big Bad Wolf! He's somehow stuck in the bottom position of the missionary hard animation from Animated prostitution! Bittercup has no go home dialog and is missing dialog options from SCC... I would like to fix this myself but the dialog and script section of the GECK make no sense to me... A bit of help on what lines to add and where in GECK to add them would be really great as I cant get support on this anywhere... Thanks for even reading this!
First off, you have too many companion mods. Companion mods often have their own Follower packages and scripts. That's anything for management, behavior, adding new followers, karma, whatever really. Too much of that will make a mess.
Here's what I'd do! - Cut out some of those mods. Read the recent comments and figure out which ones are broken/conflicting. - Check for patches. Look under each mods "requirements," and you can see if anyone made patches usually. - Double check your load order. Use LOOT, unless for specific reasons usually. - Make a merged patch, and then a bashed patch. (there are videos if you don't know how).
If that doesn't fix it, and it's not obvious in Xedit what to do, then cut more mods again and start the process over. It's sad, but this is an old game! I only have about 25 plugins in my mod list, and most people run around the same for this reason ha.
