About about using with DXVK, and following this guide Fallout New Vegas Performance Guide (wallsogb.github.io) ? Borderless windowed is pretty much required for Fallout 3 since there isn't a port of FNV Tick fix feature set.
This comment and it being stickied by the author is making this extremely confusing for me. Is this mod needed if you have Stewies tweaks? Do they do the same thing or not?
My Fallout 3 must be weird or something because when i alt tab or minimize i cant open it back up, every time i try to alt tab back in its a double wide image this just doesnt work for me... even though i did set it to 1920 x 1080
If you cannot get the borderless fullscreen windowed mode to work through the launcher, change it manually in FALLOUT.INI from 'bFull Screen=0' to 'bFull Screen=1'
Fallout Anniversary Patcher doesn't require Command Extender. Are you using UUF3P? You also have to run the game in windowed mode for the alt+tab function to work properly.
Weirdly I was able to alt-tab for awhile with no issue and suddenly without changing anything when I alt-tab it minimizes the game and crashes it. No idea what's wrong. OneTweak is enabled, have windowed mode turned on in bethINI. Anyone know what might be going on?
I encountered this problem not too long ago and was trying to find a fix until I stumbled upon the root cause of the problem (at least for my case). Note: I use Mod Organizer 2
The problem was the game worked completely fine until one day, tabbing out of the game causes it to minimize and won't let you tab back in no matter what happens until it eventually crashes by itself.
I found the problem to be caused by BethINI. Clicking on the BethINI presets while having ini mods installed somehow deletes and rewrites the Fallout.ini file and basically changes the entirety of the ini into a Falloutcustom.ini file. I FIXED it by grabbing the fallout.ini file from the default profile and overwriting my current profile with it which basically fixed the problem. I haven't tried it yet but I think simply deleting the Fallout.ini and FalloutPrefs.ini file from the profile folder or wherever your ini files are located at would fix the problem.
I had the same issue. BethINI seems to be the culprit. I am using Vortex and this is what I had to do to fix it:
Delete all INI files in Documents > My Games > Fallout3. Generate fresh INI files through the game's launcher. Purge all mods in Vortex. Run the game. Deploy all mods in Vortex.
If using BethINI, click the "Setup" tab and uncheck "Modify Custom INIs". For some reason, when "FalloutCustom.ini" has all the settings that BethINI adds under the [Display] group, ALT-TAB stops working. If you uncheck "Modify Custom INIs" then BethINI won't populate "FalloutCustom.ini" with anything at all and ALT-TAB works just fine.

StewieAI and F3TF have all this stuff already so its pointless wasting your time with OneTweak.
EDIT:
Thanks for the sticky. It is really important to show people how useless OneTweak is in 2022. Nice to see you agree with me mod maker. :)

Edit: Nevermind, figured it out on my own.

Hope this helps, cheers!
