It is good to see someone trying to make a modern looking G3. But the in real life, the stock and fore grip was made of plastic. The buttstock was a plain smooth texture, and the fore grip was a bit narrower than the wooden one. You might look at this :http://world.guns.ru/assault/hk_g3a3.jpg. Also of note is that the holes for parking the 2 locking pins, are placed above each other, instead of on either side of the fixture for the sling. The colour -ouch, I know it is difficult. But I remember it as a slightly yellowish shade of green. Not too pretty :-)
Very nice! Been missing this badboy ingame. Looks authentic, except for one thing.. The olive is too bright. Two small shades darker would complete it.. Used to have one of these badboys during my military service. ">
The dark metal is spot on though.. (Even if these guns are actually common metal painted black.. If you dip them into, or scrub them with chlorine, they are said to become totally shiny, but obviously, I've never tried that.) Seen some old and worn ones, and the texture on them of them usually looks a lot like those already implemented Chinese Assault Rifles, just a tad darker.
Gotta correct the previous poster about the olive color, though.. It's closer to typical ammo box shade of green, rather than being close to black.
I love the realism stuff - keep it coming. One complaint though - although it might exist, I've never seen a G3 with such a vivid green before. The green tinted ones I have seen in real life were a very dark olive - almost black.
