2023 review; Another submarine, another decently made interior location with backstory and light narrative. First of all, I should mention that all major "submarine type" of new mod content for some reason were located right next to Project Purity main building. By that I mean that Soviet Sub Commander, Jin's Revenge and HMS Vanguard are located so close to each other that you can go through them right in a row, one by one. As for HMS Vanguard, it is very well-made new location which will took you on another exploration/investigation for more than 1 hour (if you are going to look in every nook and cranny of this sub). You can see many details in environmental Design throughout different sections of the sub. Some of them were flooded, some terminals will provide additional info about crew's last activities and thoughts after the Great War. In general, this type of content won't be very satisfying for those gamers who prefer more active and combat-oriented mods. But if you like to explore abandoned places, look for clues and hints and get new loot. Some keys can be found in unusual spots and places, so you need to pay extra attention while looking for your next "objective". As for technical side of things, I didn't encounter any bugs or CtDs during my playthrough of this mod. Also no conflicts between major quest mods or dungeons. Pretty safe to install even with big load-out of mods. Some misspellings here and there in notes and terminal entries, but that's not a deal breaker for me. So, should you try this mod in 2023? Yes, if, as I already stated, you have a desire to visit new location, like new type of content related to ships, boats and sea. But you won't find any enemies or combat sequences to participate in. Overall, although a bit "old", this mod can be an enjoyable experience for your evening after work day. Endorsement from me.
hey does anyone knows where the bobleheads are located? the nexus forum provided by the author is long gone and also does anyone knows how to open the vault thats next to the g.e.c.k?
This is an absolute JEWEL! From the moment I first spotted the beautifully designed sub in the muddy depths, all the way through the next hour or so exploring its tightly cluttered dark claustrophobic interiors. Really, this is pure joy every second of it. Absolutely endorsed!
Not a SINGLE technical issue, ctd, freeze or anything that's written in older posts below. On an underpowered old PC with this being the 125th mod.
Really fun mod. The grammar needs to be checked and, as someone else said, the objects that aren't bolted down should have "rolled" down due to the sub's list. Instead they're upright and causal, as if defeating gravity is just as easy as destroying the Earth.
nice one of my favourite mods definitely endorsed if you could add some voice notes or something that would crown it off as i think fallout would sound awesome with a British accent
I've just reinstalled F3, and I must admit, on vanilla game my submarine freezes more often than I would like to see it doing it, I've made some tweaks, hopefully those will be helpful. As always, make a clean save before any updates! Better safe than sorry
