A short note from Payton Quinn (DogtoothCG) on Art and Inspiration:
I don't expect you all to sit and read, but if I could have a minute of your time...
I'm sure by now, you all have noticed, that the X-02 is not a direct copy of the MKII APA you were used to in Fallout:3. This is not an arbitrary design decision, nor was it necessary to make it fit into the Fallout:4 gameworld. The redesign of the X-02 is an homage, to the late, great, Adam Adamowicz.
For those of you who don't know, Adam was the concept artist at Bethesda Game Studios, and for a while, the only one. Much of what you have seen from BGS over the last ten years, has been formed, in no small part by him. He was a man of massively prodigious talent, surrounding himself with a love of art, compassion for his coworkers, and (from what I've been told), an attitude that you just couldn't hate. The work of Adam Adamowicz has inspired my own over the last few years, serving as a launchpad to try new styles, and never be afraid to fail; you never know what glorious design might crawl out of the ink smudge on the page.
Adam passed away in 2012, leaving behind an immense wealth of knowledge, and the gifts of his art. To me, these have since presented an endless source of inspiration for character, clothing, and creature designs. When we realised that the Mk II APA was not present in Fallout: 4, we thought it would be fitting to bring it back, doing our best to merge Adamowicz's art, with the final design from Fallout:3. This isn't a redesign for the sake of doing so, this is my homage to one of greatest inspirations.
Please, take a moment while your file downloads to check out these links on his life and memory.

I read it, went to the first link, and read about 3/4 of the things people said in memory. I couldn't read more, because although I find it hard to actually cry, I still feel emotions, and it was hard to read on. My family has lost many to cancer, but my grandma survived it thankfully, so this really touched me. R.I.P Adam, drink all the beer in heaven (even tho I'm an atheist, It's always good to believe there is something after death, and I don't believe in one specific thing, I believe the possibilities are potentially endless. Just in case anyone who knows me sees this. This may have ruined the feels of my comment, dammit. This is why I don't go to funerals. Can't cry, always find a way to sound insensitive).
I read what you said and watched the video on the memorial page and have concluded that we have lost another truly brilliant mind and any fan of the of the fallout and elder scrolls game's should be able to understand the depth of this loss to the gaming community and want to pay their respects.
I just saw this today and was instantly heart broken. He was a part of a very big universe that had given so much of my gaming experience. To know that such a talented man has passed means not only has the world has lost a incredible artist but that many of the games to come will not be the same. May Adam Adamowicz continue to rest peacefully.
Most people wouldn't give a damn, you however sir, you in my opinion deserve heart of gold. Not many people care for the deceased, I'm glad there are people who do care. BTW this sorta reminds me of that one memorial mod made in Skyrim, for the father that loved the game but passed, people like that author and you sir deserve rewards as much as any US soldier.
i mourned our loss of Adam way back when, and this has brought an old wound to the surface. i take solace in the fact that many remember him, and still honor him. it's littles shrines like these that keep him alive in all of us, and i shed tears of sorrow and joy in this discovery. it brings to mind a phrase i first thought of when i lost my best friend - who ran a AA program - to a drunk hit and run:
"yea, though we walk in dark times, and on a bad road, we feel no fear, hold no regrets. though we have, and will continue to lose many, we persevere. why? the common man asks, 'why do you proceed on this fool's errand?'. and we smile and press on. we keep walking because every step we take we lay a torch to light the way, every mile we pass we set up a camp for the weak and weary, every opposition we face, we face with the knowledge to overcome. because we are guided by leaders, by artists, by warriors, by doctors, by geniuses and retards, by haters and lovers, by both the evil and the benevolent, we are guided by our hearts and minds, but most of all, we are guided by each other. we are each other's sword and shield in these pressing times, and though we have lost a bright soul today, take solace in that his legacy lives on, and him too, in our hearts, minds and every way we express ourselves."
Almost 6 years gone now, and most still don't know who he is. They just play the game without knowing that the creature they just killed was his concept or the armour they just put on was his concept.

I have to say, although I'm not one to cry at things like this, I'm twelve, so it partially explains itself, I definitely know that this man has fueled Bethesda's games for years and to see him perish... It is truly a sad occasion. I find the quote fitting, don't you think?
Breaking the sorrow however, I know my grammar is good, I'm just generally a Grammar Nazi.
I think they updated his page. I checked it out years ago, and I don't remember seeing any of the flash stuff portraying his concept art. I love the Vault concepts for Fallout 3!
Oh maaan. I didn't come here to get all emotional! But what are you gonna do when people post something like this. Not only that i think i read it the first time i downloaded the mod.. Still got emotional the second time.
Coming back here after almost 2 years and seeing people still posting their heartfelt words about Adam brings a warm feeling to my heart. I'm actually surprised they didn't do something in-game to memorialize him as they did for the Reddit user NoohjXLVII's (AKA Andy) brother, Evan. If some don't know, Evan is an Easter Egg Character in the Nuka World DLC. You can find him at his camper southwest of the Nuka Station.
Even 4 years after his death his memories live on in the form of one of the most creative and awesome universe one can imagine. he will be in our minds not only as the man who invented the greatest world, but also as one of the greatest gamers ever. hey maybe him and rick may are chatting it up in heaven!
What an absolute legend, because of you I know the scope of his contributions to some of my favorite games. I'm grateful for his contributions, and yours as a mod author.
Yeah. I'm 40 now. I try and stay away from reading or talking about death. It will happen soon enough. I know more about it than I care too. It just makes me sad. I don't know you Adam Adamowicz, but I love you man. As much as I know how. Hope ur good bro. Same to everyone else.
I did not know about Adam. Thanks to your excellent post now I do. Ive been using his ideas, his creations all this time without knowing in Skyrim. Journey well brother, your memories will live on as we immerse ourselves in alternate game and game lore universes. You help us escape the 9-5 reality of our lives.

Did you know I run a podcast with Kris Takahashi of Tales of the Commonwealth fame? It's pretty good. Every week we talk with famous mod authors about their work, as well as have a laugh or two. If you want to get into modding or simply want to know a little more about your favourite mod authors, it's worth checking out. This week we interviewed CDante, who made the Transfer Settlements mod as well as worked on Old World Radio!
For anyone like me that couldn't find the Ghost helm at Poseidon reservoir, the script "X02PositionQuestScript.pex" in the latest version is incorrect. It will only place the set in the glowing sea red rocket and does not place the helm at Poseidon Reservoir. I don't know if this was intended or not by the mod author, but it was driving me crazy that I couldn't find it.
You can download an earlier version of this mod and extract the script from it and replace it in the latest version. Version .3 was the version that I used.
not expecting an answer but if anyone or the mod creator is listing it would be cool to have this spawn in the big pyramid with its own dungeon instead of red rocket like the other x02 mod thanks

That is all.
Why keep it weaker when you can keep it canon? :)
Nothing that FO4Edit can´t solve.
Thanks for the mod, though.
