The screen color is independent from the mod, you can configure it the way you please with virtually any color, even black (which is unreadable XD) using the configuration>graphics menu in Fallout 4. I used matching colors just because it suited more for every edition. Just leaving this here in case anyone has doubts about it
Edit: I've added a description image in every color edition to help people configure their Pip-Boys to match the color shown in my screenshots.
You can install the mod using NMM without problems downloading the main file you want (Original Red, Amber, Blue, Green, Purple or White Edition). If you want to install an optional file (Black Interior, No Thunder, Spanish Labels), overwrite when asked AFTER installing a main file.
Right now, I'm not interested in making a NMM installer because I don't use NMM with Fallout 4 (for now). But, if someone has the will and knowledge to make a scripted installer, contact me via PM and we will work something out for those who are asking a NMM installer.
I can't get this, or any other pip-boy recolor mod for for that matter, to work. I've changed the .ini file, I've installed manually and I've tried through NMM but still nothing. Help? Edit: I figured it out! This mod looks so awesome, thanks!
I think it would be nice if the optional buttons and gauges download also made an holographic part of the nob that switches things* * the thing below the Geiger counter, and making the nob customizable with the pipboy colorizer file download.
Hey great mod! I've been using it for a while now and I'm starting to miss the standard pipboy. I installed your mod through NMM and everything worked great but now after uninstalling it through NMM it still shows up as the modded pip boy (black) I started a new save game btw and still nothing. Any ideas what might be wrong?
No it's not lol just where exactly should I remove them from? I removed them manually from the NMM folder but where else would they be? I couldn't find them in the fallout 4 folder (where the exe is)
Fallout 4 installs mods just like Skyrim or previous Fallout games, that is, in the Data folder. You need to remove two folders: Data/textures/animobjects/pipboy. Data/materials/animobjects/pipboy. You only need to follow the folder structure contained in the 7zip file from the mod... As I said, it isn't rocket science XD You could have avoided this by using manual install. In the future don't use the NMM when the mod doesn't have a fomod installer. Just unpack the file, copy and paste the mod files. Way easier than using NMM.
I am having an issue where when I go into Fallout the pip boy is the same as vanilla...I downloaded the purple and black edition. Every time I load the game NMM deactivates the mod. I have added files and the scripts in the Fallout ini. Not sure what else to do. The game also seems to CTD when I hit the Sanctuary bridge from Red Rocket.
Have you tried manual install? Since they modified the NMM to work as the mod organizer, I stopped using it because I don't like they way they work. This mod doesn't use any script, it's a texture replacer only so if you have crashes or anything, they are unrelated to this mod
Just wanted to stop by and say thanks for your beautiful work, i was originally using the cyan edition till i decided to make my own personal changes,
i ended up remaking all of the DDS files myself except your Specular ones, couldnt even get close to how beautiful yours were done mine always ended up too shiny or way too black lol and your absolutely gorgeous interior work
But again thank you for your hard work
and just incase of any worry no i have not and do not plan to upload my personal version anywhere since i use your specular maps, and Interior Textures, just for my personal use, or atleast until i can figure out how to make those things myself lol
Yeah, back when I was making it, was a pain in the ass until I managed to make the specular maps look good XD It was the 1st months of Fallout 4 after release and I was literally learning how they worked on this game.
Glad you liked it and that it inspired you to create your own variation
I guess you put the cyan buttons above the original red main file version, what else do you expect to see? If you want it to be red, install the red buttons. If you want all to be cyan, install the main cyan version and then the cyan buttons and gauges pack.
