Q: I used the whistle, but my follower/companion does not teleport to me, why?

If your follower or companion ist actively doing something like e.g. Dogmeat fetching stuff or your Robot hacking/lockpicking things, then my script will be blocked off until they are done. If you are really unlucky your Robot tries to unlock the door, he has been standing directly in front of, from the other side. I can't change that, but you can give them a moment and try again.
Q: Does the whistle actually play a sound?

Indeed it does. Its a rather short high pitched whistle, nothing fancy though.
Confirmed - I just came here to say the same thing. And at least for the Churchill dog the whistle does sound. As per regular FO4 I find companions tend not to come if they're busy fighting etc (for that one has to leave the cell or at least get away from the area).
Awesome little mod and works like a charm. I couldn't have played FO3 and FONV without a similar solution either, as in Fallout games the companions tend to make a stealthy entering something between hard and impossible, sometimes even spawning somewhere else other than right next to the player...
Simple and elegant solution to an endemic Bethesda problem. An essential piece of kit if you plan of keeping a companion around at all. I don't, actually, more trouble then thier worth. But sometimes you don't have a choice, and when that happens this gets used over and over.
Not sure if this has been asked yet, but would there be any way to make them not teleport to you? Something like a tactical retreat script? Maybe you can make them target you, (but not attack obviously) and run towards you with the cowardly confidence AI attribute?
I'm thinking of making a version of this that is a radio/walkie-talkie. Considering the permissions, i'm gonna go ahead and upload and credit you once its done.
