    Greetings Maduin81
Have you had the opportunity to expand on the Nixie Tube to control contraptions like switches or item counters?

Obviously there hasn't been any updates since 2016, but you may know or lead me in that direction.
    Thanks much.

have you thought about making them work like a clock? you can change the size in creation club or in game with the setscale command

You have probably found it by now but for anyone who reads this, Nixie Wall Clocks and Tic Tac Clock are also worth looking at for more nixie tube functionality.

I can't find it if there is, but is there a counter feature? I have put down a pressure plate at the entrance to one of my buildings wanting to count the number of settlers coming and going, but stepping on the plate only powers the nixies while you are on the plate and adding power directly to them and the plate does nothing. The optical sensor does not reset once tripped so I figured the pressure plate's simple on/off might work.

First i thought: they aint working. Than i did something weird and it worked, couldnt do it again. After a couple more tries i got it now, the problems where: I only changed 1 of the lights to "1" and tried to only modify that one; didnt realize that the number i was trying to get was higher than 100 (i only used 2 lights); and that in my first attamped i somehow managed to move all the numbers to the last lights ( i used 4, edited the first 2, than it moved them to the last 2, wich was confusing me so i removed the last 2).

anyway, for anyone not understanding it: place the lights (snaped to eachother), than change All of them once (to number 1), after doing that you have to "modify" every light, so if you want them to show the population you will have to modify to lights to the same setting.

Now that I've resolved my own stupidity and can actually USE this amazing mod, I have a suggestion: count the number of Nuka-World cages (total, filled, and empty) that are wired to the same grid. Obviously, it'll only work when the cages are powered, since the tubes need to be powered, but it would let me easily know how many creatures I've got waiting in my XP/item farm.

Great idea, but i might have a small change to improve it: link a number to a cage, than when that specific cage is filled you will see that number light up.
like: you have 9 cages, numbers 3 and 6 are on (filled), than only the third and sixth nixie tube will turn on. Easyer management and usefull to combine with switches to make a semi autofarm.

Or make every cages type have their own number: raiders = 1, gunners = 2, molerat =6. like that, than if you make a mass farm you can see howmany of each type you got.

First off, this looks AMAZING. I was so disappointed when I found that the nixie tubes didn't really do anything. But, clearly, I'm doing something wrong. I placed three nixie tubes in a row, snapping together. I activated each of them individually. I went to the right-most one and set it to display total power. I have it set up next to a connector radiating power, from the All-In-One Settlement Solution item, from the mod of the same name, which produces 100 power. Looking at my settlements stats bar, I see 100 power. But only the nixie tube I specifically configured displays a number, and it's zero. I tried repeating the process for the other two, and the same thing happened. Am I placing them wrong? Is there a trick I don't know?

IMMEDIATE EDIT: When I look at them in workshop view, the lightning bolt is red, so apparently they don't have power? I have a wired connector directly above them, I don't know what's going on...

INSTA-EDIT 2: FFS, apparently, they need to be wired to power.

IE 3: Can you maybe just upload a video showing how to use these things, because I seem to be an idiot in several respects.

FINAL EDIT: Okay, I figured it out. Turns out I'm just really dumb. You place one, snap others to the sides, wire them all to power, activate one, configure one.

Would it be possible for it to record the amount of scrap collected via the scavenger tables and whatnot?

Yes, it can use 3, 4, or even more digits, and the value is displayed properly in my brief testing.
For example: if I use the tubes to display the available power at one of my settlments with one fusion generator and several power drawing objects, the amount would show as "39" on two tubes, "039" on three tubes, and "0039" on four.

I've wanted this functionality since Wasteland Workshop came out.
Wish I'd found this mod back in June.

All the features you added are cool, but I just wanted the counter to work when power is applied. I cannot believe they didn't finish implementing that. I want to count how many items go down my conveyors.

I haven't even looked at Contraptions yet, but I see what you're getting at. I'll look through the scripts sometime this week and see if its possible to add a mode for that XD

      ^^This ... so much this.

All of the other features sound great, but this is what I was hoping for with the vanilla ones and was so sadly disappointed.

I agree totally with Maduin81.You did a great job on these tubes.
Nixie tubes were only numeric so dunno how enveloped that would be.

      ANYWAY

Would be great to plug some tubes into a tripwire that is attached to a conveyor belt. (Tripwire already made in DLC).Then I could use it to count how many widgets I make.

      Maybe up-counters and down-counters.

Maybe a logic output connector (on/off) when a certain number is reached. (Alarm type thing)

      Again Great Stuff.... THANK YOU!!
