Not true. I am using the "Personal Vertibird" mod, and I can get it to land on a platform I made above my abode. I placed a VB landing pad on the platform, upon which, I also placed a fast travel pad (welcome mat). The VB lands there just fine... It also lands on elevated VB pads in the default game world.
This fixes most of the issues, but I have noticed vertibirds still flying through Trinity Tower. Most of my flights are going from the Prydwen to western locations like Red Rocket or Starlight.
I am afraid i have no idea how to do that and would have no way to test it as I don't own an xbox. Because I don't really consider this a mod, its just moving a vanilla record over to an esp file to fix what some mod makers broke, I have given full permission to do what ever anyone wants with this mod. If anyone who knows how to convert it wants to they can do so. Of course it would of be nice if credit was given.
As is often the case I said one thing I did another. I think I got it uploaded for Xbox. but as I said no way to test it. I changed the name to something a bit more discriptive, its now called Vertibird Worldspace Height Fix. let me know if it works.
Well to be fair they are terrible at their jobs. Even when every thing is working as it should they will still clip some buildings now and then. Its when they fly threw every single building in their path and even threw hillsides that you know something is wrong.

I know the other vertibird altitude fix mod doesn't fix landing.
(Thank you!!)
