Bro, F this mod. I have spend, literal Hours trying to get the roofs to snap together in any type of logical of sensible manner and they just don't. you should really consider scrapping the whole idea of one piece roof parts unless you gonna allow them to snap to other roof parts or move between them in anyway. . .
Hello! I wanted to say THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS MOD. I do have a concern however. I had this mod for a few years NEVER A ISSUE. Here in the past year now all of the sudden the mod disappears in my workshop. I have uninstalled it and re installed it and it is not showing. Even install the missing tab mod. Now I'm reading everyone's post just from this year and they are not having any issues. SO as you can see, I don't get it. I also installed it manually and put the files in the DATA folder per instructions and this mod still doesn't show up. Can you or anybody out there put some light on this? Some tips, something that will help me get back to using this mod again. Thank you to all responding to this post. I almost forgot probably the important part: The mod shows up in workstation BUT when I have to close the game and come back later the tabs are no longer there under metal tab.
I had exactly the same problem today, after using this for years with no problems. I still don't know why (same load order, same mods etc.) but I found that moving it to the bottom of the load order helped! I've put it on the bottommost place for now.
Useful tips I stumbled on for snapping (you'll need the "Place Everywhere" mod):
1. How to Snap floor/Ceiling pieces to walls when making multiple stories: Go to the "Roofs" menu and place the "Carport Roof" piece atop your first floor wall, it will snap perfectly. Then, you can simply snap the appropriate ceiling / floor piece to the Carport Roof piece, and then other pieces to that piece, finally, simply delete the Carport Roof piece and swap in the floor piece you want -- it will snap to the pieces you've already placed.
2. Inner walls won't snap / outer walls snap the wrong way: Move a floor or foundation piece away from the position you want to snap the wall to, creating a gap in the floor. You can then snap the wall to the edge of the gap in the floor. Then, simply move the floor piece back into place, and you will be able to snap subsequent walls to the one you just placed. When doing this to correct the angle of an outer wall, be sure to move any floor pieces (besides the one you actually want to snap to) out of range of the wall you want to place -- this will effectively force the wall to snap in the correct direction.
I wish they would update it. This would be a fantastic mod with an update and a little tweaking, and it's one of the only mods on Nexus that allows you to build custom built pristine prewar sanctuary homes almost exactly like what was there. With a few added parts in the menu and some Tweaking, and maybe expanding it to accommodate other settlements, this would be one of the better building mods for Fallout 4 on this site.
Good mod. With a little updating and some tweaking, could be a great mod. Parts are off by one tile on original foundations, and the lower ceilings being attached to upper roof makes it hard to line things up, but overall, not bad.
Wow, I really liked this mod but unfortunately it has a really annoying defect. The roofs are much smaller in size compared to what they should be. I used the console command "SetScale" to increase and realized that they should be 70% larger, however using "SetScale" is useless because the "building Snap" does not follow the increase in scale.

Also there are no triangle roof parts. If you look at the original houses their roofs all come to a point. Can't do that here.
Mod seems unfinished. Would be truly excellent, but these errors make it nearly unusable.
