To those getting stuck on the part with the safe at Finch's:
- There are TWO safes involved; download the most recent version and you'll get a little hint in game. - If you looted Biometric Data and have no idea what to do with it, hold onto it, then put it in a container and RE-LOOT it when you get the objective to search the mansion. - "I used the TCL command..." Yeah. Don't do that. This part has a couple of triggers built into it in a linear order (which I'll make a mental note to avoid); skipping stages messes it up.
Oh and as for the grass indoors bug; I seriously have no idea. I've ran into it in other Bethesda games (and mods) and it seems benign enough, but I get where you guys are coming from.
The 2nd preview vid (by MxR) should be removed - he just drops f-bombs all over the place and types a troll message to a female reviewer wherein he threatens to gang jump her (it may or may not have been sent but is appalling taste either way). I'm reporting the vid to Nexus - MxR is a childish, potty-mouthed piece of work anyway - but threatening to gang jump a woman (even if only in jest) is way beyond the pale.
As for the mod, shame only one of two halves ever got made - agree with a previous review: voice acting isn't great (but decent for a mod).
You should get more info before write such things. MxR is used to those jokes and he never wrote that comment btw. However, thanks to that gag, because a MxR gag was and nothing more, Koubitz ( not a female reviewer, THE female reviewer ) was discovered by many people and no one in her fanbase, have something against MxR, because everyone know that's the way MxR put viewers eyes in something or someone that is worth giving a try. Now, as far as I know, Koubitz never wrote anything bad about that episode. Feel free to prove the opposite, until than, please don't use false claims just to give reasons to your own hate towards MxR. Thanks and GOD bless you.
@AndyB82 - did I wobble your bubble? I don't "hate" MxR and never heard of him until seeing that vid. But suggest you watch some better vids, such as on propriety (that means customs & manners of polite society) - it will serve you better when you're a grown-up.
Well, for some unknown reason I didn't get an alert at the time but only after Blackjack posted. Yet I thought Andy's response was so misplaced as to be worth a response, not just to him but really more for others coming later to read. And thought it would be worth my doing because I knew (even after 2 years) such folks would still be coming here and reading this thread - a fact which you've just admirably proven! - And hell, 2 years is nothing, if you go to the Battlefront and Total War forums some threads are 15-20 years long...
"B-b-b-but...muh feelingzzzzz! All of reality must be forcibly changed to reflect my ignorant, deluded, narcissistic, brainwashed NPC world view!" You're not the boss of humanity, kid. Your feelings are irrelevant and are actually a violation of the basic human right of free speech and self-expression. If you don't like something, then leave it alone and go away.
So brats like MxR are entitled to freely platform and spew bile nonsene, and AndyB82 is entitled to his mistaken opinion, and you are freely allowed to pile on. But oh because I disagree I must a) pay attention to your puerile insults, and b) go away & be quiet? LMAO! But ooh your cruel little jibes and my feelings? Pah, kindergarten playground efforts like yours don't scratch me "kid". I got past that probably 50yrs ago (as might you one day). And I was just calling some things out for what they are and will ever continue to do so.
The mod passed in one go, very interesting, it's a pity that it ended like that. There were no problems with anything in the quests, except that corpses were not always looted even by passing through textures, only through opening the container with the console. Otherwise, there is a lot of loot that is no longer needed, the game has long been passed. They only gave me one perk when I forgave Cal, and what else was there supposed to be?And this kind of voice acting doesn't really suit ghoul, but I'm used to it. Please make a sequel!!!
Exceptionally good mod, well thought out and well executed. Seven years after abandonment it ran almost perfectly for me. Shame that Buzzard's Bay never got made - the teasing backstory we get in this mod is very ambitious and interesting. Heck of a cliffhanger ending.
My review: You might encounter bugs. Story is unfinished and they just teleport you back mid mission. If you are going for a narrative driven playthough, skip this mod, if you are looking for fun thing to do, this is very good.
In depth: Just played through this with unleveled world and items, MAIM, TRUE Damage, Unleveled FGEP and SAR and a buch other dificulty and AI mods. I encontered no bugs glitches or issues, only replayd the final scene, which then broke, but i used the panic button, got back home and unistalled.
Figuring out the "safe at Finch" took me a while, tip: READ THE ITEM IN THE FIRST SAFE. I took about 400 7.62, 100 shotgun shells and 100 .44., 10 grenades. At the end I had less than 20% of all that left, I had to conserve ammo, pitted enemies agains each other, had to run away multiple times. Enemies where tough, Yao Guai specially, I was on edge the whole time, which was a nice change of pace as I was level 60 and had pretty much top tier weapons before. This did give me acess to a full set of t60 power armor, which I didnt like, this I would change to a t45... The world space is very fun to explore and was also very scary. There's roads surrounded by florests, and a bit swamp area, all very atmospheric. I just wish they changed the ending to take you back to the commonwealth, as simply stopping mid cutscene makes no narrative sense and breaks my immersion, I mean, how did my character get back?
