Yes, it works.
Suppressor, extended mag, & a full-auto receiver with a .45 conversion. The suppressor keeps the muzzle climb down enough that you aim at the Deathclaw's groin (very unsporting, I know) and just hold down the trigger; by the time the muzzle's climbed enough that you're hitting it in the head, you've unzipped it from crotch to crown and it's feeling VERY sorry for itself.
