    Version 1.22

The Radiation Removal Stations can now be harvested every 24 hours by the player for 1 can of purified water.

Reduced perk requirements to build radiation removal stations.

I just updated the compatibility patch for the Wasteland Workshop dlc. It now properly removes the powered water pump from the workbench catalog. I'm trying to make the powered water pump actually produce dirty water that you can harvest and overflows into the workshop. But it's proving more difficult than I expected. So for now just leaving it removed so it doesn't mess up the game balance.

Okay new version again. Sorry about the 20 million updates. This one is small. Just overwrite if you grab it. Won't break anything.

    Version 1.21

    Added more hand-placed water chips
Water chips now sometimes can be found with vendors.
At level 15, there's a 10% chance of finding a damaged water chip for sale.
At level 30, there's a 25% chance of finding an undamaged chip (valued at 4000 caps) for sale

New version. Probably the last for a while. Major rebalance tweaks.

    Version 1.20

Added a second radiation removal workbench.
Rebalanced all settlement water production equipment requirement.
Added several more hand-placed water chips to the game. They are in plain site.
Flagged hand placed water chips to not respawn.
Accessing the overseer's terminal in vault 111 provides a clue to help find a water chip.
Added a few broken water chips. They can be repaired at chem stations with mid-level perks.

Hey guys. I looked everywhere in Vault 111 but couldn't find the first chip, I just want to make sure for myself that the mod is working as intended & no mod conflict is blocking the water chips from spawning. Could someone send me a message with it's location? Only the first one. Much appreciated.

Clue in the overseer computer. If you see a entry named "its me or them" or something similar, the mod is working. Notice that entry may be in a previous entry, i dont remember exactly.

with no real way to make water this is just a dead mod

This could be changed in FO4Edit relatively easily, I believe, if that is your only complaint. I agree the balance is not ideal even for a realistic, hardcore, survival nut like myself.

Still, last time I checked, the mod works. It does what it is supposed to do, and from what I've seen, no other mod does what this mod does.

Alternatively, once I get through testing Sim Settlements 2 Chapter 2, I'll get back to rebuilding my survival mod list, edit it myself, and share the patch here on Nexus. No promise to haste, however. =P

Fyi Drinking in river give less rads than dirty water in bottle, that is good alternative

It seem problematic that the water station radiation removal requires perk in medic and chemist, because we are forced to invest a lot of points in intelligence. If we want to follow a survivalist road without point in INT it's not possible. Eventually having just medic required, but chemist has too high cost. And you can remove the basic station (1 purified water), it's useless.

Juste leave a standard station that provide 3 purified water and just require medic 1 to be crafted

Also currently I have a lot of empty bottle in my inventory, but I have no option on water pump to fill them with dirty water. Despite, I can fill them at the river. Do filling an empty bottle at water pump also require a perk? I do not have chemist or medic perk set. In my previous game, the option to fill empty bottle has been here. But at this moment I also have chemist perk.

Also I can't dring in pump, I must go drink on river

Hum Empty bottle has more weight than bottles filled with water.

Request 1 lbs for empty bottle, and 2,5lbs for a water bottle by example.

Also need a food recipses, like soup that give rads + disease risk because prepared with non purified water, and a purified water version that give just disease risk.

While I love the idea of the mod, the information on the description tab and the way it all works in game doesn't seem to jive. Specifically, I see multiple references throughout the description/posts tabs suggesting the industrial purifier should be producing hundreds of units of purified water, yet it seems to only be producing 20 for me AND it requires two chips. Is that working as intended or is one of my other mods kicking this one in the teeth and nerfing the number?

Edit: Aha! So, another mod, Hardcore Food, was reducing the values. After I placed this mod lower in the load order, all is well. Back to a brutal, hardcore survival game thanks to your mods!

Would anyone know an easy way to change the recipe's for soups to use purified water. As it is using dirty water to make soups makes purified water even easier to get. Razorgrain+dirty water gives you essentially a better purified water since noodle soup also reduces hunger this kinda makes making purified water with antiseptic and cloth pointless. I tried using the Clean soup mod but all it did was add another recipe for clean soups.

Just an fyi I know nothing about modding so if you have a method for changing this explain it so a five year old could understand.

It seems there are a few problems with this mod. At first, There's no option appearing of bottling water from water sources (river, pumps, etc), and in order to build a water source, (a pump for example), we need a bucket... Yes a bucket, object 00059a80 is needed to build a water pump to start a city. In other words. Without a bucket in our inventory, the city won't have any water. Unfortunately metal buckets, are not quite common resources in F4 world. Also waterchip is needed to build a basic powered water pump. So in general, without an option of crafting metal buckets just like waterchips, this mod is useless. You can treat this as a bug report.

      Just to counter-act this complaint:

I've been playing for the last couple of hours with almost all the "immersion" and "survival" mods I could find (300+ total mods), and I haven't had any issues with this mod. I'm guessing load order matters, but while I have set specific load order rules (using the LOOT utility) for other mods, I haven't done so for this one, and LOOT apparently placed it in the right location for everything to work as expected.

In terms of buckets, I haven't had any issues with that either. By the time I was starting up my first settlement (while following the main story line, this is my first ever FO4 play-through), I had two or three buckets from scavenging (and this is with several loot scarcity mods in use).

Finally, I think the waterchip is an _awesome_ addition that fits perfectly well in the Fallout universe, and really takes this mod to the next level for me.

(the only thing right now, is that I can't remember reading anything on the Vault 111 overseer terminal about the waterchip. I might have missed it though, so I might have to go back and check it out)
