Attention. After giving it some thought and talking with my friends in the community, I have decided to take the following course of action.
Most of my mods have been unhidden for the time being. I have received an overwhelming amount of support from so many users who have sent well wishes, and I appreciate this more than you know. I will no longer be providing support or updates for my mods until Nexus issues can be resolved. Please do not pm me for info regarding this, I will provide more info as I have it.
Actually the reason you can get purified water from the cooking station is that the player is distilling the water. Distillation gets rid of all impurities, even radioactive fallout as water itself cannot become radioactive it's the particles in it that make it radioactive. There isn't a specific station for that as distilling water is as easy as making a DIY still by drilling a hole in the top of a pot, adding a long copper tube that coils into a container of water, and heating the dirty water in the pot. The water in the pot will become vapor, go into the coil and condense back into water due to the cooling effect of the coil in water. Then you collect what comes out of the end of that coil as the distilling process continues.
Just google "DIY still" or "still diagram" to see what I mean.
it's not a special tube, just a copper tube. you don't even need a tube like this person described to distill water. you can make a very basic water distillation system with two containers and a cover to collect the steam.
This is great. I love the one where you have to collect all the items to create the station instead of just using scrap. It becomes a mini scavenger quest.
It does seem though that the radaway recipe has the (cobj) radaway item listed as a component when it should be Radaway (alch). This is in both of the esps. The radax recipe is working fine but even though I had Radaway in inventory it was not showing up in the recipe.
Actaully, I think the chem way to purify water is much too unreasonable costly. You see, even without any perk about rad in food or water, direct drink contaminated water only add you less than 10 rads. However a rad-away is capatiable of removing at last 30% of you max life points rads, which means at least 30 rads. So I think the chem path should be able to treat larger amount of water instead of only one bottle.
Actually you can. You just need a way to condense and collect the steam. Pretty much all of the radioactive material will stick around with the unboiled water.
Radiation doesn't merge with water, the particles are separate and water can be separated from radiation for example by the method mentioned by Eskanonen. But youré right just boiling water won't do, but in FLipdeezy's defense he's got Rad-X and pretty sure there's a condenser too on the worktable. If you wanna get precise I've posted a source article written by some Aqua Pura team. Cheers!
Nice! The station is really nicely designed, it has a lot of neat detail and looks like something that could exist in the base game. Heck, it SHOULD have. :P
My only slight problem is that the water cooler at the top left seems a bit too perfectly shiny and thus doesn't visually mesh that well with the other objects, but that's just me.
I love the idea, because it certainly shouldn't be so trivial to make purified water, but I'm not so sure about the conversion rate. In your screenshot it appears that 120 caps worth of Rad-X is being used to make 20 caps worth of purified water. Seriously? It'd be more economical to just buy water from merchants.

(I'm not 100% sure but I suspect that messing with the caps values of water & foods also messes with their HC_ thirst / hunger restoration values.)
Now i craft on your great new station
PS Dog Meat says thanks for the treats
