Combat shotguns in vanilla feel odd to me; they're useless outside point blank and are fairly weak later on ingame, and the spread model is goofy. I sought to change that up a bit with this mod. The biggest change is to the barrel spread and range, with automatic receivers getting some much needed attention. Hopefully this will provide you with a better close range firearm.
I highly recommend Live Dismemberment by DeathclawAlpha for combat. Blow off arms and actual lethal headshot damage makes the game a lot more grisly and fun.
Initial release: 1.0 -Base damage changed from 50 to 90, pellet count changed to 9. -Barrel range extended, short barrels reach out to 71, long barrels to 119. Should lead to damage dropoff at longer ranges. -spread of barrels changed; tightened up the short barrel a bit and the long barrel should be useful for distance work. See screenshots. -Automatic receivers now have a 60% firerate increase rather than 16%, rapid automatic has a 130% increase, watch that ammo and recoil! -Receivers with the 'calibrated' attribute now do 15% more damage ontop of the better criticals.
Please provide feedback as usual if you feel any tweaks are needed; it just motivates me to put out more of these.
