Because I stopped playing and deleted the game Fallout 4, this mod is no longer supported. I hereby make it available to the community.
If you want get quests in Vault 81, disable this mod via hotkey, and then get in. If you was prompted by a doctor to sit in the chair and you have not stopped mod from working before this, shutdown via hotkey does not work. You must save, quit game, disable mod, reload, sit, and again enable mod.
For anyone who is interested in, i created an alternative version which is working without using scripts and extendes the blocking options of Chair Blocker by Gawl40.
If you haven't figured this out yet, sit disabler works, but drink disabler does not. When you approach a chair, you'll get E) Sit R) Sit where E does nothing and R works, which is normal. However, approaching water of any kind only shows E) Drink. As shown in the sticky above, the mod creator has no intention of fixing this as of 2016, so yeah, sucks, but whatver.
Also, you'll have to disable this mod if you want to use some "sit to begin" mini-quests, like the Hubology rad injector machine in Nuka-World.
Lastly, if anyone's made a better version of this where drink disabling actually does work, please post it in this topic. Thx.
(update note: I assumed it worked with MCM, but I've been corrected as such.)
Both sitting -and- drinking are properly disabled, for me. I have it configured to "disable if sneak or weapon drawn", for both furniture and drinking.
Didn't look too far into the mod itself, but I recall it not working at first. I then futzed with the holotape a few times, and it ended up working. Originally dismissed it as me-error.
Mod seems to work by adding scripts to furniture to block activation, and by adding conditions to the idle animations for drinking.
Drink doesn't work but it would be nice if this also disabled use of workbenches and functionality of sleeping as well, because obviously.
But I gave the mod an endorsement non the less because of the effort of the maker and it already has saved me basically countless hours of sitting down and getting up again.
1. I had to put the mod at the bottom of the load, when i had it far up the list (inside Fallout 4), it did not work. 2. You will still see both "E) SIT" and "R) SIT" 3. But you can't SIT, even if you do see the "E) SIT" 4. If you want to sit, press "R) SIT". 5. Tested on Steam Version of the game.
Thx a lot for the mod, now i can spam loot all day, and not have to be afraid to hit that chair :D
This mod works just fine. Sure not EVERY chair works, but I have yet to come across one that does not work. This is the only mod on the workshop, but please note Manniala's post.
I also getE) Sit
R) Sit But E WORKS AS INTENDED. It doesn't make my character sit.
If you CTD, Lag, Etc. IT'S A MOD CONFLICT.
I have 31 active mods and I never had a problem with this mod.
Just what I needed and FYI - v1.10.163 and seems to work just fine so far. Actually using the default setup of needing to use R to sit instead of E which is basically ideal, but I've seen other options working as well. Kudos
