TUTORIAL FOR GETTING THE MAIN MENU MUSIC WITH FALLOUT 3'S MUSIC: (Or any audio of your choice)
1:Make sure you have Fallout 3 and a audio editing program, I personally use Audacity. 2: Go to the fallout 3 directory, then data/music/special/ and open maintitle.mp3 with audacity 3: in Audacity, go to the to the top left, hit file, and then export 4: Export the file to your desktop (Make sure it is in .wav format) 5: Rename the exported audio file to MUS_MainTheme.xwm (DON'T FORGET THE XWM PART!!!) - if you don't have file extensions enabled the file will not convert and it will not work 6: Move the file to the Fallout 4/data/music/special
Wallah! If you followed the steps correctly, the music will have been replaced.
This mod unfortunately does not seem to work following the NG update as it conflicts with the ability to navigate main menu popups, and seeing as the author closed their account, this mod may never see an update.
Hey everybody, I know this may not be seen by many but I've created a music replacer for this amazing Main Menu mod. I've went ahead and uploaded it for everyone to try out! The music replacer changes the whole tone of the main menu to a much deeper feeling using only OST from the game and some ambient sounds.
really cool mod. I've been building my fallout game to look and feel more like "the last of us" so I put the song "the choice" from the last of us soundtrack with it. It works beautifully. great mod:)
Okay guys I have found the ABOSOLUTE best mod to pair with this one. Go download the alternative version of this mod. https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/2558/?

What an epic, heroic, end of the world type song to go with it. It's a light version of a Terminator interpretation!! :o
