Hi everyone. I apologize for the lack of help on my part regarding bugs and weird stuff with this mod. I unfortunately don't have the time nor drive to work on this anymore, so if anyone wants to use any of the assets in this mod for whatever, feel free to do so. The same if someone wants to port it to Xbox One.
Now, to the issues at hand; 3rd person animations seem to be the culprit. I put them in before I really knew how they worked and obviously they needed more polishing to make sure the ran smoothly. Since I can't work on them anymore, I'll just delete them from the files so anyone that downloads the mod doesn't run into any issues. If you know what you're doing you can remove them manually from your data folder: Data/Meshes/Actors/Characters/Animations/Weapon/Pistol (just delete the whole Pistol folder if you don't use any other Pistol animation mods). If you want to take a safer approach, uninstall the mod and download the last version, which will have no 3rd person animations.
Anyways, hope you can still get some use and enjoyment out of this. Thanks you and sorry for any trouble!
Hey guys, I've seen a lot of you asking for a quick draw equip animation instead of the flip one.
All you gotta do to change it is find the "Equip.hkx" animation in Data\Meshes\Actors\Character\_1stPerson\Animations\"the weapon you wanna change it for" and replace it for the "EquipFast.hkx" (Make a copy of "EquipFast" and rename it "Equip"). That's it, now the dude just gets the hand up without flashy moves.
I mean, you could easily imagine a one-handed flip-cock for the lever-actions, but one-handed (auto and semi-auto) rifles would look weird unless you were in power-armor.
@Hyper0520 according to a reddit post and a comment on the mod Sawn-Off Shotguns, you can get it with that mod, but I haven't tried it yet. Might be worth checking out tho
So I'm having a real minor problem. The animations look great and work fine outside of power armor. When in power armor however, the animations seem to be two-handed still whenever I'm moving. Standing still is fine however. Does anybody have a fix/solution?
Pretty sure this was posted before, but I'ma do it anyway. So the Mod works fine with the Pipe Revolver, and the Hunting Revolver from the NCR Ranger Mod. It doesn't, however, work with the Vanilla .44 Revolver and the Western Revolver. Do I need to tweak the Files to fix that? I did install the Revolver-Fanning Mod, and overrode its Meshes with the ones from this Mod.
I just tested this in game and both the .44 and the Western Revolver WORK with this mod, at least in first-person view. I also have Revolver Fanning installed.
Are you using Automatic Lowered Weapons (https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/20093?tab=posts)? I tried using the mod with Lowered Weapons and Buttoned Lowered Weapons, but the animations from this mod only seem to work properly with AUTOMATIC Lowered Weapons.
