This is a loose texture version that will not override any textures for the Pipe Gun (BSAs accidentally included the retexture I'm using). Make sure you delete the two M1 Carbine .BSA files.
As for the final version thing - I've gotten a lot of requests to add new gizmos and tweaks to the gun (and my other releases). I appreciate the enthusiasm, but I'm not going to be able to keep up with this very regularly. Work is going to pick up for me again soon, plus I've got a son on the way that I can't wait to spend time with. Had a bit of a reality check moment over the holidays while working on this that makes me feel like I need to hit the brakes again.
I've had multiple folks PM me to ask if they could include the M1C in their holistic overhaul mods - so consider this free permission to anyone who wants to do so. Just cite all authors for their work accordingly.
Creation Kit for some stupid reason or another does not let me upload for anything other than PC. If anyone wants to upload themselves, feel free. My only requirement is that they copy & paste the content/credits from my existing PC plugin on Bethesda.net.
Any further requests for an Xbox One version will be deleted to declog the comments.
I do not know why but this mod causes a consistent crash whenever I mouse over the M1 Carbine in the Weapon Modding Bench. Probably some sort of mod conflict with my other mods -- my hunch is it conflicts with Legendary Rearmed -- but too lazy to figure out what is wrong.
I simply uninstalled it and of course no more crashes. Posting this for anyone who might be having the same issue.
A shame, it's a great mod but I rather have a stable game, and there are other M1 carbine mods available.
Is this mod still being taken care of or just abandoned, because can you reposition the bolt to the left of the gun to make look like it actually being pulled back, if you that would be awsome.
This thing in real life is nearly 50% lighter than an M1 Garand. Some things you can ignore, this isn't one of them. It's a pistol caliber carbine the has the presentation of a light machine gun. It makes AsXas' M1 Garand look small by comparison - and that thing fires a long action .30-06 Springfield round.
A modern AR-15 "Commando" style weapon with polymer everything still comes in at 6ish lbs. An M1 Carbine came in at around 5 ish, with wood furniture.
Even with the bolt on the correct side, you will struggle to understand you are firing a far less potent round than the presentation suggests you should be firing. At the end of the day it is an immersion breaker.
Love this weapon. Works well with the "New Calibers" .30 carbine conversion. Really wish there was a military green rifle stock color closer to what you see on the old military vehicles.
? hi! my friend ! the original version of the mod broke! installed the final version . damn it! well, the bayonet could be screwed from the garand m1 mod, it is in reality taken from the garand ! threw links look can reshish ulutshit mod on trifles . and so normul ! SPS AND GOOD LUCK IN YOUR WORK!!
First love this mod. I always wished the M1 .30 cal. Carbine have been in fallout 4 from the devs. Second was wondering if you could use the right-handed nukaworld AK replacer by hitman47101 (with permission of course) as the base or as an update as the reloading animation? I'm guessing it would line up pretty close for that reload as the manual of arms is similar. Just a suggestion. Thanks again for a great mod of a classic.
