All donation points collected from downloads of this mod will go to the Ukraine relief effort. Slava Ukraini.
No matter what truth you choose to believe in the facts are that Ukraine is a country in ruins and millions of people have become refugees. This is not political, this is out of compassion.

THIS MOD IS FINISHED AND WILL NO LONGER BE SUPPORTED

As some of you know I gave a grace period before removing my mod prior to the introduction of Collections. I thought people would be more understanding and supportive of this choice, however since that wasn't the case rather than removing it I just lost all energy to even care anymore. Logging in to my Nexus account just gave me anxiety and for my own well being I just ignored it all. So for the sake of closure this is me completely retiring from the modding community, who knows maybe I'll return if Starfield seems promising and if Nexus decides to give the option to opt out of collections.

Thank you to all of you who have supported my work, provided me with feedback and even helped me with solving issues. There's a lot of love in this community.

If you wish to make adjustments to the mod or make addons/translations feel free to do so without having my permission.

    Wish you all the best,
    David

It's sad to read this. Your mod is fantastic and I want to say thank you. I do understand your decision. Still, I hope you can find your peace with Nexus at some point and walk away with the knowledge that you gave something great to people to enjoy. Don't let it take your creativity down. I wish you the best.,

Sorry for the dickheads! Your work is great and a lot of us are actually grateful for the work you fantastic modders put in. Cheers and hope to see you back at it for Starfield with hopefully fewer dicks present lol

How can people be so... abusive to something that is so beautifully detailed.. down to even the lighting... this is a beautiful version of DC that should have been how it was all along.. it is a shame that this talent was treated to some imaginary standard and not appreciated for everything it is... its art.. and if you ever return i for one will support and enjoy all the care you give ... and you give it for free... you sir have my respect

So does this mod still work? Cause I just installed it, and it doesn't seem to have done anything? Sorry, new to this.

This mod is an incredible work of art.  I've only just begun to explore it, Statsmakten (David), but you MUST know how much damned better it makes Diamond City.  Yes, I'm sure I'll encounter bugs and I've worked through some already with load order tweaking, but if this were all it were, nothing  more than just some new NPCs running around and the added locations and detail, it would be an order of magnitude more than enough!

I want so badly to meet your character at the Red Seat and just chat, to enjoy the little world within a world you built!  I wish I could say more, but I can't...its just a gem.  Maybe someday we'll get a co-op mod, because I am absolutely having this in my world.  It's the best!

Thank you for not going that route. I can't stand authors deleting their mods in protest. It's a waste and doesn't make sense in the bigger picture. They uploaded these mods here for people to enjoy for free. Intellectual property is pretty irrelevant when you don't stand to gain anything from it. Is what Nexus did right? No, but retaliating by deleting your mod only hurts the people you uploaded it for. Doesn't hurt Nexus at all. Is the ability to delete your mod worth punishing the people you made it for? Especially knowing that doing so won't accomplish anything anyway? I don't think so personally. And I hope someday if you ever produce anything again you might come around but even if you don't just know you made this game a hell of a lot better for a hell of a lot of people and all of us appreciate everything you put into this. Don't ever question whether it was worth it. You accomplished what you set out to do here when you started. And you should feel damn good about it.

Why would collections make you wanna remove the mod? You gotta understand that people are gonna be upset when you remove a mod they use, so I'm confused about what exactly happened here.

      @RIDI
      Two reasons:
1: Collection uses old version with a bug, update might break collection but no update breaks mods side. Who gets the critque, potentially both and so statsmakten might be given bug reports based on the collections faults
2: The mod file used in collections is forced to be on nexus servers forever, meaning if you want to delete an old version for any reason (Voice actor/texture/model/persons work is desired to be removed by the person who made the asset) cant have it removed. Put your voice in a mod, Nexus will force it out there. Even if its your mod and your voice, you dont get the option of removing it from the web.

The best about collections is to even use them correctly you need to be a premium user, otherwise you'll be forced to download all of the mods manually

Thank you for all your hard work and above all else thank you for sharing your work with all of us. It is true that for every positive post like this there are a hundred more people who feel the same and they are called the silent majority. It just astounds me that so many sites like the nexus never take into account the power of the silent majority who say little and just walk off into the sunset without saying a word. I would have to say those people have never stepped a foot into a political science class. They just scratch their heads and wonder what happened when they fail. Anyways never feel underappreciated for what you have done on the nexus.

"this is me completely retiring from the modding community"

I know I'm late to the "me too" party, but damn it, David... this actually makes me sad. Don't let dumb Collections drive you back from something you love doing, and let us say it for you; you're damn good at.

Just because they bundle your stuff in Collections and force a copy to stay as their content, I mean come on hosting mods is their business, what do you expect, that they let all mod creators have the power to ruin their business? That one disgruntled jerk could start a organized social campaign to ruin their business model by causing an exodus, over nothing, just because, or wanting to be a competitor??

It's one thing if you worry no one will see you efforts for being yours, that part is understandable, but I know you're completely capable of breaking the 4th wall, having an interactive sign in the game, maybe even a silly side-mission plot point, to come visit your page or site directly. I know if youput more than a few seconds into thinking about it you'd have 3 ways to mitigate the frustration the nexus Collections thing caused you. Cuz yer a smart feller, ain' ya?

This one mod captures the mood, vibe, the actual intent of the way the crew at Bethesda would have made it, had they endless time. It's not flawless, I mean what add-on is, but in the way of other mod creators we love not just for the mod but their minds, they way they approach things, SKK, Thuggy, etc. With yours, it's so apparent - it's meticulous! details details details. We can all feel the love of the game, the love of making these things, of all the days invested where you got done with your "regular life" and couldn't wait to get some downtime to resume working on your projects... it's tangible!

I hope you find a way to make a living at this, dude. I really do.I don't even know you and am rooting for you. When you're applying to Microsoft Game Studios for that high six-figure salary gig as a level designer, make sure this is in your portfolio.

He didn't retire. He made this message on February 2022, but just released two new mods for Cyberpunk and Starfield as of September 2023.

So much for quitting modding, eh?

Very true, all the arguments that I have seen can get boiled down to is that can be solved by taking this approach  : "If it happens to break someone else's work because they use a version that I told them was broken, not my issue."

      A LITTLE HELP OVER HERE! 🙏 🏳️

I've managed to remove the ambience music from the Red Seat (too annoying for my taste), but now all that remains is that freaking Nuka World music breaking my inmmersion. How am I supposed to lay down with the girls while that kids music is playing in the background?! Any idea how to remove it as well? I guess something in the mod's esp needs to be touched using FO4Edit

When you say 'Bottom of load order' which ordering software are you talking about? Because Vortex bottom is LOOT top.

Should this be at the top or the bottom of Vortex 'plugins' order?
(Vortex top meaning after all mods & bottom meaning before all mods & DLC)

if textures are flickering, place the plugin at the bottom of your load order.

if your using vortex and there is no conflicts, go to plugins and click manage rules and make it:

Stm_DiamondCityExpansion.esp        must load after       (whatever plugin is at the bottom when you sort by load order)

Does anyone know if there's a way to turn down the music in the Red Seat District?

It's so loud every time I enter that I can barely hear the NPCs speak. I've tried to mess around with the limited audio settings and even went into a good bit of the code for the mod. I just can't seem to find anything that deals with the audio of the music being played.

I've managed to half turn it down. I used this mod: https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/77569?tab=files and replaced the 5 files with empty sound files, that way the added mod music is gone. But turns out beneath that music was the f**ing Nuka World ambience music, so that's what I'm struggling to turn off rn, the final step to have a quiet ambience.

Like I said in an older post here, I guess something in the mod's esp needs to be touched using FO4Edit. Lmk if you find a solution :)

I cannot for the life of me find "The Loge".....I'm just gonna remove this mod and see if it breaks my game. If not I am deleting it. I find quests that have no marker and only poorly written instructions infuriating. I mean theoretically they aren't bad, but when instructions on locations are vague like "Location- Upper Stands" with no directions or point of interest to help lead me then just use a fucking quest marker.
