I am still on F4 vacation as life happens and (if I have the time) I am still working on my Skyrim projects ATM and it will stay that way for a while. However, there are still loads of people who keep asking me about the mod on weekly basis (and I am sure more here in the comments section, which I haven't even had time to read for ages). I feel their pain - I found it so strange noone created this sort of mod after the few loose cut dialogue lines had been discovered, that I decided to do it myself - even though this isn't the kind of mod I would normally make (I play BGS games on self-inflicted Perma-Death difficulty so I usually die before having a chance to make use of a mod like this. :D :D :D)
I have made it known a few times already, so I will also add it here so more people will hopefully notice. If you want to work under my guidance and manage the mod until I can get back to it myself - or (possibly even better for the mod) take it over completely, let me know. A not for those who would like to do it but think they don't have the skill - drop that mindset! ;) It only takes practice and (in my experience) it would more tedious than difficult.... :-D
Do PM me, if you are interested. ;) And do not worry if it takes me a few days to react, like I said - kinda busy lately.
As a last ditch effort I reinstalled pretty much everything (except for OS), didn't help. Tried other computers, to no avail. I am hereby giving up on BethNet. I do not have the time nor the nerves for this so I will not keep on trying.
However, bhk42090 has kindly offered to manage to xBox upload and it is now AVAILABLE here: https://bethesda.net/en/mods/fallout4/mod-detail/4014099
Hope you xBox guys will all enjoy it!
(For those with a PS4, Sony doesn't allow any "custom assets" in mods on PS4 including scripts, meaning this will never be available on PS4 - unless "custom assets" become allowed there.)
BTW I'm not sure if I'm the only one but if Danse was sent to the Railroad he will more or less permanently "stay" there even if you use the settlement settler re-asign home feature I even tried to use AFT so... Danse is more or less "borked"
Huh, come to think of it, Elder Maxon ordering you, a Knight, on a manhunt against your own mentor is a very clear and egregious violation of the Chain that Binds doctrine. In the Brotherhood, you're not allowed to give direct orders to anyone other than your direct subordinates. Danse legitimately has a very strong case against Elder Maxon's leadership.
maxson is a descendant of the first maxson so i dont think the brotherhood would give up their entire monarchic identity just because of some random who felt compassionate for a former paladin
Very good point! I've been planning a fallout tabletop campaign where I basically just retell fallout 3 and 4 with some twists, and that specific detail will come in very handy for me if I ever get around to running it. Thanks for bringing this up!
Just proceed with Blind Betrayal normally, convince Danse to stay alive and... help Danse decide what to do!
Suggesting to leave the Commonwealth and make a fresh start will take you to the vanilla path with one change: after the confrontation with Maxson, if you repeat he should leave before Maxson changes his mind, Danse will actually go and LEAVE the Commonwealth. (Don't think many players will actually choose to do so but it is a valid option.)
Suggesting to return the Brotherhood will lead you to a new quest during which the duel takes place and a new Elder is decided (if you refuse to execute Danse when confronted by Maxson of course).
If the player is a member of the Railroad, they can suggest to join the Railroad. Danse will then become a member of the Railroad and continue fight against the Institute there (again, if you refuse to execute Danse when confronted by Maxson). This will give you an extra option during the Tactical Thinking quest but is not expanded upon any further.
If the player is still a member of the Institute, they can suggest returning to the Institute. (Spoiler alert: Danse will not like it very much. :-D )
Just wish there was an Option for Danse to Join the Minutemen here, good mod but abit disappointing that there's not a Minutemen option
Word of advice to everyone, if you have this mod and any other mods that add to or affect the vanilla missions like this one does, either make a patch with fo4edit or place this mod lower in your load order. Danse and I both got attacked right after he was finished with his speech and we were both killed lol.
