It is perfectly safe just to update your earlier version to this one. If you do happen to have any issues updating or at any time while using the mod, then try toggling the mod off and then back on with the toggle tool or MCM hotkey! Hope you all enjoy the new update - let me know in the comments section below! Stay safe everyone.
Thanks for all the positive comments everybody! I hope you are all enjoying the mod! Don't forget to hit that to show your support and encourage further development of the mod
Please post in the Mod Problems Forum if you are having issues with this mod or wish to report a possible mod conflict!
I know this mod has been worked on for a very long time and I am very thankful for all the support and encouragement I have received from you all! It is a huge task working on this mod but thankfully I am getting really close to have it finished!
Please God NO what a waste of time to dialog a garbage game with a bunch of generic NPC's when this artist can spend their time more productively by fleshing this (only semi fooked then unfooked by modders) Beth game out some more! For example he or she could flesh out the most popular companions like Nat and Heather who already have amazing voice acting to respond to them. For example when Natalie says, "It's a beautiful day." it does something deep in my heart, name one character like that in Fartfield. When Heather sings to me, I'd LOVE it if I started singin in tandum to her or responded with the amazing personality this modder created for Nora and Nate.
A FO4 Fan (mod) created FO5 is the future of gaming. Not some garbage "sandbox" game with a mashup of chaotic nebulous NPC's with no depth who add nothing to the story and empty "planets" with no solid story behind them.
Even the graphics are terrible in Lamefield. You can tell they put ZERO effort into polishing it, they obviously were counting on Modders to be their slaves to make it a hit like they did for FO4 which was just a "meh" bugfest before modders took the reigns. Fallout 4 is STILL such a popular seller that they continue to ask full price and give very little to the actual content creators. Don't get me wrong,l some people in Beth did an amazing job, like the Type Cast people who picked the voice actors and the actual writers who obviously worked tirelessly to make sure their dialog and written story lines were lore friendly, engaging and mysterious.
Bethesda basically tried to reskin FO4 then add a bunch of politically motivated preachy doctrine talking points to get government subsidization then added a bunch of empty spaces hoping they could cash in on the Modding community AGAIN.
Incredible mod, thank you!!! I too would love to see a mod like this for Starfield (*heart eyes*) although it likely wouldn’t be possible given that the player character isn’t voiced. Starting a fresh playthrough of FO4 after five years, and would have kicked myself if I hadn’t stumbled upon this mod. Thanks again!
If you want to do it for starfield, you'd be a hero to some other people, but if you don't because you think Starfield sucks and all that, I'm not gunna judge you my dude. That's a tall order to fill. Besides, me personally I don't have Starfield, or plan on buying it ever
Yeeah 100% not gonna happen. The protagonist has to be voiced. The ONLY thing Bethesda did wrong was give too much history and make the Protaganist male be the only one to give an intro. This made some people butthurt.
What they SHOULD have done was give 6 alternative starting background (3 female and 3 male nora should have a medical background instead of Law as Lawyers are even more useless in practical situations, Nate gets an amazingly helpful background with Military) and have Hell Boy do the intro like he's done for friggin ever.
So instead of fixing it they used their previous fail to be even MORE lazy next go 'round with Lamefield. FT.
Well there is a voiced protagonist mod for Skyrim, both through dialogue and general barks. It's not too far fetched to assume a similar mod could be made for Starfield
Asking anybody to do anything for Starfield is like asking them to voluntarily go into depression for years on end. Starfields modding scene died quicker than Todds childish confidence at the game awards.
@aemelted Those modders who make the DBVO voices for Skyrim have to pay for it. With their own money. Do you really think anyone will actually spend their hard-earned money to mod Midfield? No, seriously. Do you believe that? Because I don't.
Plenty of people already spent hundreds of hours playing Starfield, and the modding scene is starting to pop off now that the creation kit for the game has been released. It really isn't that far-fetched to assume someone could make a similar mod for Starfield.
Love Starfield too. =) Love Player Comments. Cannot play Fallout 4 without it. The female voice is very similar to my own too.....sooooo easy to get into and laugh at all the interesting things.
So....Starfield.....Options. My two coppers. =) - Plenty of good female and male voices in Starfield that can be used. Andreja and Simeon would be my choice. The point here is general generics and stuff like we have in F4 currently with this mod. Not full on speech. Both of those two have plenty. - Could use the Fallout 4 Nora and Nate. Most of it fits well. The humor too. - Where is the donate $500 button. *wink* I would even pay $1000 for a Nora version in Starfield. =)
Hello! I hope you are doing well, just writing this because I've found what appears to be a conflict between this mod (version 2.65) and America Rising 2 (version 1.1.1) that is very noticeable in character creation. I'm not sure if any other conflicts occur outside of character creation.
I tested with America Rising 2 on it's own, no issues at all. I tested with Player Comments & Head Tracking on its own, also no issues. But with both mods together, after a couple seconds to a minute in character creation Nate/Nora's head will snap forward and no longer be moveable at all, and a couple seconds later an idle will play where they teleport forward partly clipping through the screen while wiping their forehead. Here is a video example of the bug
I also ran a conflict checker in fo4edit hoping it may give me some answers, but it didn't detect any conflict at all between the two mods. Regardless something obviously goes wrong when they're enabled together. Curious if you can replicate this bug or have any ideas for a solution
Ive been told this mod has been a culptrit for crashing your game. Since i play survival mode any notion of that even if its word of mouth i instantly remove it because i dont want to crash out myself. After 8 hours of playing i only had one single crash tho. If anyone has more experience with this mod regarding these issues please let me know.
Would you like to explain how that log you showed means this mod is what caused your game to crash? It doesn't, all it shows is a Player Comments scene was occurring when your game crashed. Since the entire mod is virtually based around dialog scenes, it will always be in the log. Please try to fix your own games issues before using some silly debug mod to try and lay the blame on some mod in particular.
sorry but this also happens to me, I played the game before without the mod and I didnt have these random crashes related to player comments activating...Ill have to delete this mod to play properly :( great mod, but the random ctd gets annoying once u played a lot of hours into the game.
I once had a very minimal load order, less than 90 mods. The only script "heavy" mod i had was this one, and every now and then, I'd get a crash and Buffout would point to this. I disabled it, and never saw a crash ever relating to it again. Fast forward, same ordeal, same type of crash. Now i just suffer through it. I love the mod too much, and the crashes it does cause are so rare that i can't skip this mod just because.
I installed this mod and I keep getting silent dialogue about far harbor on repeat whenever I talk to any NPC. I haven't even been to far harbor yet. I keep trying to talk to a npc and it keeps repeating till i walk away and try to talk to them again. I downloaded all the patches i need and I don't get whats going on. I turn off all mods besides this one. and still going. Anyone know any idea how to fix this?
Edit: I also, went to far harbour just to see if it'll go away but no luck.
One of the most underrated mods on the nexus by far. This mod has made me laugh so many times and just enjoy the game in a more immersive way. So many people want to silence the protagonist and I vote go the other way! Give them voice, and you have! Super grateful to you gargorias!
This is one of the best mods ever!!!! It adds so much to the game. Some of the lines are hilarious and I love how the NPC's respond and the player responds to the NPC's. It's freaking amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They just face away from me and talk.
With this mod disabled, they run up to me and face me normally while speaking.
