BodySlide Walkthrough:

For CBBE. Can be used for other body mods. Just use common sense to figure it out.
1. Install BodySlide, and CBBE from the CBBE mod page. If you wish to use the in-game sliders, you will also need LooksMenu installed and the relevant files from the CBBE archive - these should be an option in the installer. If installing manually, then you need the contents of the BodySlide folders and relevant 'TRI/F4EE' folders installed. 2. Go to Fallout 4/Data/Tools/BodySlide. Doubleclick on BodySlide.exe/BodySlide x64.exe to open the utility. Vortex users have your own way of opening BodySlide (see: Mod description, but the path is still the same). 3. At the top, in 'Outfit/Body' select CBBE Body, CBBE Body Physics or CBBE NeverNude. These are the bodies. Everything else is an outfit. 4. In 'Preset', select a preset, or leave it as it is and simply start moving the sliders around. You can type numbers into the boxes if you want to use negatives (put in a - before the number) or go over 100%. If you only wish to use the in-game sliders, you can skip to Step 10. a. (Optional) If you have a lot of outfit mods installed, and/or only want to see/build meshes for certain ones, you can use the GroupFilter and OutfitFilter options at the top to narrow down the selection. Just click on the magnifying glass, 'Choose Groups', and select what you want. Again, only what is selected will have the option to build meshes for them. Leaving these Filters alone will mean you have the option to build everything. 5. Click on 'Preview' at the bottom to open the preview window. The mesh shape will change as you move/edit sliders. The mesh shown is what you get when the character's weight is set to the centre of the weight triangle. You can right-click-and-drag the model to rotate it, and left-click-and-drag to move it around the window without rotating. Scroll-wheel to zoom also works. 6. Once you're happy, click on 'Save As'. 'Save' will overwrite the current preset selected. 7. Type in a name for your preset, and check the boxes for what 'groups' you want your preset to appear in. 8. Click Save. BodySlide will open a window to the BodySlide/SliderPresets directory. Click Save again. You preset will now appear in the 'Preset' drop-down menu. 9. (Optional) If your aim is realism, make a second preset just for outfits/NeverNude, removing any gravity from your 'nude' preset, and applying cleavage/pushup etc. You can look at the 'Slim (Outfit)' and 'Curvy (Outfit)' for ideas to make it look realistic for both small and large breast sizes, respectively. 10. With CBBE Body, CBBE Body Physics or CBBE NeverNude and your preset selected, click on Build. This will automatically install the body meshes. If you intend on using the in-game sliders, ensure you check the 'Build Morphs' checkbox before completing this or any following steps. 11. With your (outfit) preset selected, click on BatchBuild. Uncheck anything you don't want built (e.g. if you did step 10 above, you don't want/need CBBE Body/CBBE NeverNude/CBBE Body Physics selected). You can right-click the box and select/de-select everything to help with this. 12. Click Build. BodySlide will automatically install the outfit meshes into the correct directories. Now the outfits will be the shape of your preset, and will morph according to the in-game weight/body morph triangle. If applicable, then you will also be able to use the in-game morphs.
All right, I just solved my "I have CBBE and outfits installed but nothing shows up in BodySlide" by comparing my Fallout 4 BSOS install to my Skyrim BSOS install (which works). The requisite files and folders had been installed in the wrong place. RefTemplates, ShapeData, SliderCategories, SliderGroups, SliderPresets, and SliderSets were in Data->Tools->BodySlide, but the .exe file was in Data->CalienteTools->BodySlide. Moving those six folders to the folder where the .exe was suddenly made everything appear.
In Skyrim (LE/SE), BodySlide in its entirety is in the CalienteTools folder. In Fallout, it's in the Tools folder. You can see this by opening the archive, or previewing it in the files tab here. So, the files/folders were not in the wrong place. The executable was. There shouldn't even be a CalienteTools folder in your Fallout/Data folder.
I wanted to customized the mesh of the vanilla raider harness by dragging down the waistline of the pants.
But while inside Outfit Studio I can still see the whole body, inside the preview window and in-game the body isn't present, I just see the torso, shortly below the belly the body is chopped off the lower part of the body disappeared Why?
I thought it had something to do with body partitions but partitions dont exist in f04 i only see segments? The body has segments #0-#3 and the number 3 is all red is it the problem?
when I go to save the file a window pops up that says "There was cloth physics data loaded at some point (BSClothExtraData). Please choose all the origins to use in the output." There is only 1 option to select "data/meshes/vtaw/wardrobe5/dress/dress.nif" After saving the bottom of the dress from the waist down is all jacked up.
OK I have read through everything twice and am stuck. Bodyslide does not have any outfits in the dropdown at the very top like in the video. I see a comment that I have to use add-ons but I have not been able to find anything to install to modify vanilla outfits in conjunction with the body. Help?
There are compatible body mods linked in the mod description. CBBE is the most well-known female body mod, and comes with all of the outfits - you just have to make sure you've selected them in the installer. If you did select them in the installer, make sure your Group Filter is empty, so it's not filtering them out.

I don't have a CalienteTools folder please help I have been trying to fix this for ages
I seem to have fixed it some howI wanted to customized the mesh of the vanilla raider harness by dragging down the waistline of the pants.
But while inside Outfit Studio I can still see the whole body, inside the preview window and in-game the body isn't present,
I just see the torso, shortly below the belly the body is chopped off the lower part of the body disappeared
Why?
I thought it had something to do with body partitions but partitions dont exist in f04 i only see segments? The body has segments #0-#3 and the number 3 is all red is it the problem?
There was a f*#@ing hidden, zapped by default legs slider inside Outfit Studio.
Why do this.
I use Outfit Studio regularly to increase the mesh volume when clothing clips with the body shape I use in game.
I am having a specific problem with this dress:
https://staticdelivery.nexusmods.com/mods/1151/images/43844/43844-1584047404-1868728609.jpeg
from this mod:
https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/43844?tab=description
when I go to save the file a window pops up that says "There was cloth physics data loaded at some point (BSClothExtraData). Please choose all the origins to use in the output." There is only 1 option to select "data/meshes/vtaw/wardrobe5/dress/dress.nif" After saving the bottom of the dress from the waist down is all jacked up.
Any fixes for this?
Thanks,
Eric
