yea when it comes to power with transfer settlements its the most common thing I had a issue with. When that happens i manually go through and lift up floors put them down and reconnect wires etc. Sorry dude i know its a pain! its just a feature that can happen with bigger settlements - its hard for transfer settlments to deal with it all.

Is there supposed to be a lot of stuff out in the vault entry room with the security checkpoint? I've cleared everything out beforehand, and a single bed appears in the security office, but other than that nothing seems to show up. Is that all it has out there?

I detailed in the video that I left the vault entry room pretty much untouched. I did this becuase the nature of the entry room makes it hard to work in for one and for 2 there are a number of excellent and i mean excellent mods out there that edit just the entry room and make it look fantastic. If I were to try to make it using the settlement it would look duct tapped together. That entry way really needs CK help and thats were those mods come in and why there is a niche for them

hope that helps glade to hear you at least got the place installed just fine. :)

Personally i used the below mod... for me using the rad scanners and turrets or whatever really messed with my game so I used the lights only version which i think you can choose in the installer. BUT that was me wwith my set up. your set up might work just fine with it

Alright, I've been trying for days now to get this right and I'm starting to feel like I am missing something crucial, some simple trick that has managed to completely escape me.

I have followed the instructions to the letter, but no matter how I try I run into one problem or another. I've had all wires connected to the wrong conduits, I've had Clem end up blackfaced and unresponsive, I've had power but absolutely no navigation from the settlers, I've had some navigation but no power being restored as I move floor tiles around ... With 40 minutes or more per attempt I'm getting rather frustrated. Is it a bug in my game or in the transfer addon? Seeing as it's not the same problem every time I don't think it's the blueprint itself that's to blame.

settlers by default wont use the full vault without mods just btw. so if you are talking navigation like getting settlers to walk around and use stuff you need a mod for that.

Blueprint itself is not to blame... nor is it possible it would then be a issue with the transfer settlements mod.. blueprints are only a parse file. Also a blackface bug with chlem cannot* be from a blueprint that can only happen when a mesh file is not read correctly from its .esp... blueprints again are a parse file they have no .esp changes or meshes. Sounds like you got the vault working and installed at one point and just didnt know that by vanilla settlers cannot navigate the vault without a mod that extends their AI pathing distance like I am linking below. Its okay i know its frustrating for you.. but its a tad frustrating for me when people say the blueprint is to blame cuz like.. its a parse file from the transfer settlements mod your issue is with that mod or with you messing up something. The video I shot is proof of concept.. I transfered my vault to my save and then shot the video... so i know for a fact it works. best of luck to you in working this out sincerly no hard feelings.

I'm sorry if I made it sound like I was blaming you because that was most certainly not my intention. I was kinda hoping someone might be able to say, "Oh, but after Patch X if you place Item Y in the vault while using Mod Z your settlers stop doing anything!"

I have the Sandbox Expansion and just tried moving it to the very bottom of my load order with no change in behavior. When I arrive in Vault 88 or load a save game there, the settlers will walk around for ~15 seconds. Many of them are in the central little garden in the atrium and keep trying to walk through the railings. The ones on solid ground will also be bumping up against the railings around the smaller gardens with the street lamps.

And then ... everyone just stops. I even tried spawning a Yao Guai in the diner to see if that got them moving, but even that won't move - it just stands there in the door getting shot at by immobile settlers. I have a few guard dogs standing around as well, their legs clipping through the floor tiles to stand on the 'original' ground.

Again, I am not specifically asking you to help or fix things, Edmond. I am simply hoping that someone will see this who has experienced the same and found a solution, because I don't know where else to ask - it isn't happening in any of my other settlements.

gotcha! okay did you try sleeping in* vault 88 for say a day or to after everything is settled and the transfer as successful? the atrium is coc aka center of cell. This means (and i get this too everyone will) near all settlers not activly doing something ill span right in the middle. if you give them time and wait till mid day they should go to their shops or gardens. settlers who garden Ive noticed for some reason are most susceptible to this (for me its all my robots who garden and some odds and ends shop keepers. anyway high population with spread out assets is the cause. a shop being in the other end of the vault means the dwealer may not reach it right away. big picture by default the vault is cool af but its pathing for settlers is wonky - the longer you just chill in it (like if you built out a new section or player home above the overseer's) the more normal the vault will begin to look. still even then youll notice some people standing in halls just not quite making it to their work station again its just becuase of the size - beth made the area to be hug but settlers are programed to us a small subset -- mods help this but dont fix it entirerly. fast traveling btw will cause all settlers not at a work station to again* spawn at coc (atrium) walking into it seems to prevent that. I play surivival and notice it less cuz i dont fast travel for example.

Hi i've recently installed and tried your blueprint! really enjoying it, love the effort put in. I saw this part of the thread and wanted to ask if you know what mods i can use in order to get the settlers to make full use of the vault? Once again, blueprint is absolutely awesome, just wanting to know what i can do to supplement your good work

So what mods are required in the non vanilla version?

It doesn't say in the requirements section or when downloading.

also, I don't know why you didn't build the settlement without having to pick up ALL floors to connect power, seems lazy really. also nuking the settlement doesn't really help.

Look at the required files on the description page I list all of them there just scroll down until you see the header "Required Files." Also no its not lazy - I built the vault working as is with all floors connected and power working. The mod "Transfer settlements" does not always build massive settlements like this one with the floors intact and working. I have noticed this consistently is a issue with the mod "Transfer Settlements" so if you have a issue you should be going to that mod and telling them. I only detail that its a known issue with the mod and how to fix it. This is a blueprint not a mod and has no issues. As time has gone by just so you know some of the mod files I used to make the modified vault are no longer on nexus - to this end just intall as many as you can and if you are missing one or 2 its not a problem dont worry - items that require a mod that is not installed will just be skipped without issue.

Why did I install the full version, but the building has no lights? Is it necessary to install other modules you recommend?

I detail how to resolve this in the video and in the mod description section - you need to connect everything to the power grid.

-Power in the vault is transferred through the floors. You will likely notice that the lights and power are off. You must
pick up and put down all the floor pieces in the vault leading to conduits to re-connect them.

Can I just get a save file, everytime I do it, it works but all the furniture and decor is missing. It would really help and much faster and easier if I could be provided a save with everything intact, thanks

My save file has 100+mods on it.. if I give that to you it will break instantly unless you have the same load order. My guess is that you dont have all the required mods I listed installed which would result in those items not showing up. That said   if you dont have the decor mods I listed then *even if* I give you a save file with this bluprint built then in your game all those items will be missing because you dont have that mod installed so even with a save its not like those items will just magically appear you have to have the mods installed that have those items. Or* you can remake the vault with vanilla items or something like that and fill it out yourself make it the way you want it!

If you are refering to homemaker I do not have that as it requires all dlc, I  have the vanilia blueprint but I have tested 5 or 6 times and I found out that teleporting to red rocket will result in a instant game freeze everytime, this happens when I get to the stage where it's "Successfully imported" so if I had to guess it's a ongoing issue for the blueprint system. This vault looks amazing and it's a shame I can't experience it the way that it's intended

For what its worth. The video of my vault - is proof of concept. That vault shown in the video is 100% imported. I used the bluprint to import the vault and detailed what worked for me to get it to work then made a video of the imported vault. it took I think 3 or 4 tries but yea its proof of concept that it can work but yes to your point it takes time and paitents more so then it should but it does.

i apologize in advance if this was someone else issue but im sortof confused, after i did everything i was supposed to, i left and waited at red rocket near sanctuary, then i started doing a different quest just to pass time i figured the more time it had the better, fast forward about 4 and a half days (in game) i go back and its like the vault is half finished, i wasnt sure if the import is what you show in your video or if its essentially a skeleton to fill out? please please help, i really love the look of this mod and i dont feel like giving up and trying a different blueprint. im using the vanilla version of the mod but also using some of the files you included in the description, (i tried using the modded version but some of the required files are hidden/ didnt show up for me so i just went with the vanilla) it seems to build and do everything right, i dont do a thing except move my mouse so my pc doesnt go into sleep mode and i just watch american dad or the storyteller while it does its thing, but like i said when i come back after the specified time to wait it was incomplete

If you installed the vanilla version then its mainly just the physical walls, floors, stairs and celling and rooms so its more of a skeleton to fill out but the structers should all be there minus the elevator. BUT if you installed the main version then you have to try try again. It took me 3 tries personally. staring at the ground not doing anything no quests nothing. I just left the game running and got some coffee and watched some youtube. Anyway the video was actually shot using the bluprint. As in I loaded the game before i made the vault and then imported it as proof of concept showcase so it can and will be done. but it can take a few tries given its size. I actaully waited in the pipboy menu like I said and then traveled away - waited - and then traveled back immediately to verify that it worked that time.

i've tried several times, and it crashes every time i try to save, walk out to the quarry, or fast travel to either Sanctuary or Red Rocket Station.

It can be tricky it took me about 3 trys myself to get it to go. Its your call if you want to give up on it or keep going to get the layout. You might also have luck with the vanilla blueprint which contains more the structure etc and does not include a lot of the extras.

it can take a  couple tries but yea the vanilla blueprint works for everyone that has tried it to date.

The vault in the pictures and in the video was in fact loaded using transfer settlements so that is a blueprint vault that I personally imported to show proof of concept.

The modded version crashes for me when I go to leave vault 88.  Followed all the instructions and tried to install some of the mods recommended but a couple are no longer available on nexus.  One is now only on Bethesda mods and the other is only on lover's lab which I tried installing.  Going to try the unmodded version but this is a shame.  Was really looking forward to this mod

Hello, looks great but impossible to install for me:

Following the walkthroug to install, all came ok but i'm stuck at 3% for 60 seconds (missing a safe from do it yourshelf) I click "ok" and I still stuck, the progression freeze at 3%.
I've tried once again, stuck one more time bu I fast traveled and the installation ups to 100%, stabilizing and all looks fine but CDT when I try to enter the vault 88.

After 5 times I managed to install the vanilla version, this time all was fine but I'm not a great interior decorator....

    I have a h*ll da**ed hard modded game....maybe that don't helps...

Any idea? Maybe a troubleshooting with "transfer settlements"? In that cas I'll better ask directly on the mod page...

I am unsure if after you imported you waited a few in game days but you need to do that too. But yea otherwise just ask on CDante's mod page. This is not a mod its a simply blueprint just a large blueprint but still a blueprint. I have used the blueprint myself to import the vault in my game which is showcased in the video. So it works on my end and I gave some tips and ticks that got it to work for me. It also took me i think 3 or 4 tries to get the blueprint to import sucessfully too.
