Had to download this to see for myself if you had done what I was thinking you had done, and I was right, you've taken the texture, scaled it up, increased the contrast and uploaded it here.
not entirely true. Took the texture, rescaled it into 4k, duplicated it and overlaid it onto itself and messed with the contrast, then redrew a lot of the colors so they stood out a little more. I wanted to make it look better to my liking and that's what I did.
No, it's just a enhanced version of the same texture... Some people say it looks good but IMO it goes for a lot of the bad retextures, as it lacks creativity.
Plus the comparison images are f*#@ing nonsense. Use the same pattern and image size and take the screenshots from the same position in-game. Then re-do all you did. Damn.
Did you resize these textures to be bigger or re-paint them on a 4K blank
What's the DPI count on these?
If you just resized them, what interpolation method did you use?
--------------------- EDIT/UPDATE --------------------- Well I read a few posts down and pretty much got my answers... sorry for spamming you! but apparently one can't delete their own posts in the nexus.
Just curious, how does this compare with the "vanilla" 4K DLC texture? Is that shown in the 'before' picture? Or was that the standard 1K? I'd love to see how this looks in comparison... :-)
The vanilla 4k textures would probably look more crisp and detailed since its professionally done. I just did this because the color of the junk jet looked bad imo. so i made it more colorful to my liking and make it 4k while i was at it. If you wanted a comparison you could look up a 4k image of the 4k dlc for this gun and see how it compares to this.
