What the f*#@ is the point of releasing a mod called snap and build when nothing actually f*#@ing snaps?

Clearly I'm doing something wrong. I've read the forms. It clearly does snap. JUST NOT FOR f*#@ing ME. WOOPTY f*#@ing DOO DA. So Glad the s#*! f*#@ing doesn't bother Snapping when on a Perfectly Flat Surface.

How do I exit the snap settings control panel window? Tabs and Esc do nothing and I can't figure it out. I have to close and relaunch the game each time.

I meant to post this as a top-level comment.

if you are using the mod with the Next Gen update, it may have issues. For the previous Fallout 4 version (before the 'NextGen' update), it works very well.

Snaps for me, though a few pieces here and there are stubborn.

I can't seem to find any description of what this mod does or any of its full features or instructions. There is only a visual showcase video with no information whatsoever. I'm aware that the title "snap 'n  build is vaguely self-explanatory, however it is not functionally or informatively self-explanatory. Can anyone point me in the direction of more documentation on the mod?

Is there any way to make the doors open and close on the correct side?

They all snap in a way that the hinge moves to the exteror of the building instead of the interior.

rotating the wall or the door doesn't do anything since the wall seems to have only one correct placement

So im new to this mod here and I have a question... is there supposed to be a snapnbuild folder in my structures tab of my workshop or is it integrated into the sub folders of each wood, metal and concrete? because i cannot find any of these plans for snap and build for the life of me.
    i am using
    Homemaker
    SOE
    OCD
    Crafting Fury 9000
    CVC
    Workshop rearranged
    G2M
    alternate settlements
    SS2
would it be possible to create a patch for SMM so that it has its own folder in workshop? do I need to put Snap and build after one of these mods? or is there a conflict i need to be aware of? im at lunch right now at work and I have not checked my g2m folder yet...

I'm updated to the latest version and just did a fresh install (of both the game and this mod).

I was able to locate the Snap'n Build menu under:

Structures --> Snap'n Build (for me, it was located at the very end, this may be different for you depending on what mods you have).

Don't forget (as I've seen other people comment about missing faction structures in the mods menu), you'll need to build the 'Snap'n Build Configurator' in your settlement to toggle the various faction structures on or off (they are OFF by default). The configurator can be found under:

Resources --> Misc. --> [Item] Snap'n Build Configurator (it looks like a wall mounted tool rack)

Place the item in your settlement, then exit build mode and approach it. You should receive a prompt to interact with it.

      Hope this helps!

I have some problems, there is a lot of content missing, from the stone steps fundation, to the faction theme capsules, the industrial build variants, does anyone know why?

I like this mod, but the lack of explanations and it being old and abandoned doesn't help

Just come here to post something similar, I downloaded the mod specifically to use the Capsules and I'm missing all of the faction themed pieces, haven't even checked the rest of the menus but I can only assume there'll be missing content there too, hope for an explanation and a fix

If I recall correctly, you need to build the mod configuration in your settlement to toggle the various faction/alternative structures.

This should be located in your build menu under:

Resources --> Misc. --> [Item] Snap'n Build Configurator (it looks like a wall mounted tool rack)

Place it in the settlement, then exit the build mode and approach it. You should see a prompt to interact with it. Hope this helps!

Edit: Just checked in game (fresh install and updated to the newest version) and was able to confirmed the Snap'n Build configuration 'tool rack' is still in build mode under the categories listed above.

Does anybody have any way to make better looking ceilings? I'm building a 2 story house and the ceiling has a concrete texture which clashes with the clean wooden walls.

Is there any chance you could create a modular version to save on file size (xbox)? I love this mod but there are build sets included that i don't use very often, so being able to just download the buildsets that I use most often would really help preserve filespace. Thank you for your consideration.

I have wanted to build a green house. I'll try this one out. I just wonder what happens when you have A LOT of stuff added to the workshop. I have 4 other mods that add stuff to the game. Thanks for the mod!!

I find if you have this mod, plus this one and it's expansions, and add this one every angle, bend and turn is in there, there is no limit but your imagination. All the interior goodies I use would be a very long list, but any Settlement/building focused Mod list I run starts with those three as it's foundation. Make sure to run SMM and search for patches, there are many for almost anything, and it allows you to customize what is shown in the build menus. Great if like me, they can be huge and unruly, but with some things you never use and therefore can edit out.

I have, working, about one hundred and fifty mods that add settlement-buildable things.  On four year old mid-grade hardware.
