I don't even see the horse armor in game. I verified files and see the ba2 archive in my files, but don't see it in game. Is this something you craft, something you find, or something that is randomly found on NPCs?
This has listed as a master: ccbgsfo4038-horsearmor.esl which is apparently disabled? I have no idea what that means, but it's throwing up errors whenever I try to load it. I can't even edit it in FO4Edit since it suffers a fatal access error when trying to process the ccbgsfo4038-horsearmor.esl file. Am I doing something stupid or is there an error with the mod?
Yes. In NMM the esl file is listed as a master, and it's in red, with the word disabled next to it. And it won't load. If I put it anywhere in my load order but at the bottom none of the mods below it will load either.

The problem then is that your "ccbgsfo4038-horsearmor.esl" is disabled. My patch is not needed if "ccbgsfo4038-horsearmor.esl" is disabled. You need to find out why "ccbgsfo4038-horsearmor.esl" is disabled and enable it.
If it was actually disabled I shouldn't see the horse armor in the game right? I can see it just fine. And the esl file is in my load order and is checked.
Yes I would expect that to be true. With ccbgsfo4038-horsearmor.esl disabled, the horse armor shouldn't be in the game, since that;s where it comes from.
So the question is, where is the horse armor coming from in your game?
I've checked and that file is the source of the horse armor in my game, so it doesn't appear to me that Bethesda changed anything in that regard.
I think I should also stress that this is for the CC Horse armor only.
So this is really weird. First of all, I have confirmed that ccbgsfo4038-horsearmor.esl is the source of my horse armor. I removed that file from my data folder, loaded up the game, and the armor was gone. So I put it back in my data folder, re-installed this mod and it's still showing in NMM as the esl file disabled. But when I went back in the game the mod is actually working, as it never did the other dozen times I tried it. I can mod the armor pieces now. I even exited out, uninstalled the mod and went back in to see if the recent game update had fixed the problem, but no, without this mod I still can't mod my horse armor, but with it installed it's now working, despite NMM still showing the the esl disabled in the master list for this mod. *shrug* no idea. But hey, as long as it's working I suppose that's all that matters. Thanks for the prompt replies.
I'm experiencing this exact same issue. Game works, armor is there, but nmm claims the .esl is disabled. not trying to complain b/c it works after all, just confirming this isn't unique or anything the user did.
The same problem that this mod fixes for the Horse Power Armor happens with the creation club Hellfire armor. Does this mod fix this for it and if not can you set up a fix?
I don't have those, but since they aren't vanilla, I'd assume it's the same problem - they lack the keyword entries that the vanilla armors have.
I don't have the time to get into it, but if you contact the authors of those armors and link them to this mod, they will be able to see what I did and then replicate it for their own work.
I think you might have made this mod depend on all the DLCs which is pointless....I only have Far Harbor and Automatron so that might be the issue.Can you make this mod not depend on any DLCs? There's no point in that since it just modifies stuff related to the Horse Power Armor.
